Dave's place was spotless and pleasant. He had a welcome packet full of menus, coupons and recommendations to places nearby. His quaint back yard and spacious guest room were more than enough space for my husband and I. You can tell Dave enjoys hosting as he was more than accommodating. He even let us check in A DAY early on less than an hours notice after I messed up our travel dates.

Dave's house is located in the quaint, low-key hip neighborhood of Maplewood. There are several delicious restaurants less than 5 minutes walking distance. I suggest dinner at Boogaloo followed by beers at Orbit Pinball Lounge and a donut from Strange Donuts. If you want to explore St. Louis' other cool neighborhood, Hwy 64 is less than a mile away.

Dave is a master host! When we arrived we were greeted warmly in a clean and comfortable home. Our room was very comfortable and there was a "welcome" packet that contained coupons for shops in the surrounding area and additional information. The location was fantastic too, especially if you're in to the craft brewery scene, with multiple breweries within walking distance. Dave was very friendly and helped us out with local nightlife suggestions. Our stay was one of the best we've done through Airbnb and if given the opportunity to return, we would!

In my professional life, I work in learning strategy for a brokerage company. In my personal life, I am a listener, traveler, father, friend--and I enjoy staying fit, hitting Cards, Blues, or Packer’s games, concerts, reading, conversation, dinner with friends, tennis, exploring new cities, ethnic cuisine, coffee shops, dabbling in the arts—photography and ceramics, and spending time with my kids. I have lived in diverse places: Northeast (Metro NYC), Mid-Atlantic (Lancaster, PA), and Midwest (Milwaukee, Cleveland, Chicagoland, Freeport--and currently St. Louis). I love travel and have visited Mexico, Canada, Japan, the Dominican Republic, After a busy week I enjoy relaxing to a movie and glass of wine. And I count it a pleasure to host diverse people, as we cross paths on life's journey.
