Stay overnight or for a few days on a sailboat docked at Kemah Seabrook marina. This can be a nice alternative to conventional hotel. Marina has swimming pool, places to walk, barbecue grills as well as nice views to watch boat traffic going in and out of the Galveston bay and Clear Lake. Fishing places are nearby as well as Kemah seafood market and boardwalk with its restaurants, amusement park rides and other events. NASA/JSC, City of Houston is not too far away as well as Galveston island.
This is a roomy 38' foot Hunter 376 sailboat. It has a spacious 'bath tub' style cockpit to chill out after a day spent in Kemah boardwalk or Houston or elsewhere. There are 2 sleeping cabins: one with queen size bed in the aft and another bed is 'v-berth' in the front. Main cabin has plenty of seating spaces, dinner table and a TV. The table and the dinette converts into a full size bed as well. Galley (the kitchen area) has double sink, fridge/freezer, microwave and a gas stove/oven. Kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, paper towels and pots/pans, coffee maker, tea pot are provided. Bathroom has toilet (head), sink and a shower, though there is near by marina restroom with shower as well.
Access to marina's docks are by cars. Parking areas are close enough to boat slip. Boat slip is then accessible via ramps leading to floating docks.
Other things to note
Boat on the water is a place requiring heightened awareness. By law children up to 12 years of age should wear life jackets even while boat is in the dock.
Please try to maintain low noise level and be respectful for neighboring boats. Marina is generally quiet place and boats do not have much space between them plus sound is travelling much farther over water making you hear even quiet talk at greater distances )
We both or one of us will meet guests in person to show the boat, facilities and answer questions.
We (my wife and I) love to travel, camp, work on getaway projects, off grid living, learn new things and meet new people.
