Mother, artist, healer, gardener.
5 things I can't live without? Fresh air;
clean, living water;
my family, friends & community;
fresh local produce full of vitality ( hence my garden & our farmers' markets )
Love
did I mention chocolate? 70% cocoa, fairtrade or raw handmade?
So, that's more than 5, I know.
My favourite travel destinations: already visited: Lord Howe Island, Bay of Islands NZ, San Francisco, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Marrakesh.
I'd love to visit: the Kimberley Australia, Milford Sound NZ, The Lake district UK, Prague, Bruges, Sardinia, France, Italy.
Just watched & loved "Hereafter".
I love diversity; biodiversity, diverse music, I'm into every cuisine, I love the nexus where cultural traditions, ancient wisdoms, science & mysticism are finding shared ground.
Prior to signing up with AirBnB, our family have been sharing our home for years, first we had a few travellers from Japan lodge with us, then we hosted english language students from Byron Bay's 2 english language schools. Since moving into our new home we have been Helpx homestay hosting a succession of travellers (similar to woofing). We enjoy the stimulation & connection that welcoming people into our home & sharing an exchange brings.
Grant & I have both travelled a lot in the past & will again, but for now staying put for a while is enriched by connections made with travelling folk, whether they are from the other side of the world or from up the road.
A life motto? 'Build it & they will come" comes to mind ; )
