Self contained, sleeps up to 12 adults in 4 bedrooms (3 are private hut-style, detached). 1.5 km from Minyon Falls (Nightcap N.P.), 20 min drive to Bangalow or Mullumbimby, 35 min to Byron Bay. Includes a commercial kitchen and linen for hire.

The space

The Wren's Rest offers individuality. On the veranda you will find comfortable sitting areas with views of the gardens and Nightcap National Park.

The accommodation includes three hut-style queen size rooms, and one cabin-style family room, which sleeps six (one queen bed and two single trundle beds). There is also a double size sofa bed in one of the hut rooms.

Wren's Rest is fully equipped with a commercial kitchen, breakfast bar, inside dining area with a number of alternate outside dining areas undercover and out under the beautiful fig tree which is a feature of our gardens.

Guest access

We can put you in touch with some wonderful local caterers so you do not have to cook or you can keep it simple and dine alfresco out under the fig tree with the BBQ provided.

We can organise a guided bike tour with a professional, highly qualified and passionate guide through the many tracks throughout the forest or a guided day and/or night vision walk. Imagine exploring the rainforest at night, searching for nocturnal wildlife without disturbing them with a torch. Using night vision goggles to observe Australia's nocturnal animals in their natural habitat is a unique experience.

Other things to note

Linen is NOT provided, however for a fee of $30.00, we have bed linen and bath towels available for hire. There is a small automatic washing machine and a covered space to dry laundry if needed.

Each of the three hut rooms has a pedestal fan and the main cabin has a ceiling fan as well as a pedestal fan. For heating, there is a wood fire heater located in the main cabin and a small electric column heater in each hut room.

An incredible place to get away from it all, and take all your favourite people with you. Plenty of entertaining space for small groups, with views to die for. Quirky, fun, and humbling, with so much beauty around you.

What a fantastic location. Perfect for our group retreat. Beautiful views from the wide decks and plenty of grounds for small groups to get lost in. Excellent bushwalking opportunities close by with Minyon Falls high on the agenda. Communications with Jennifer were easy and clear and she was waiting for us when we arrived, with a run through of the property. The place used to be a cafe and the sign is still out the front - we had a few drive-ins looking for refreshments! It's a bit tired around the edges but that lends to the charm in our view. Overall a great experience. A keeper. Thanks Jennifer for sharing your little retreat.

The Wren's Rest was exactly what we were after for a special weekend with our group of friends. The location is perfect, private and relaxing. We all loved the commercial kitchen, fireplace and rainforest views from the deck. Our hosts welcomed us and were extremely accommodating on all levels. We hope to return annually for our girls weekend.
