Mixed Dormitory Room.
The bed pursued the extreme limit of habitability and private space, adopted a wooden capsule type, it was created carefully one by one by craftsman, not all ready-made items.
Because the interior is spreading futon on the mattress, I think that it will be realized as soon as you lie down that it is enough to heal the tiredness of the trip of the day.

The space

All beds at IMAYA Hostel Kyoto are dormitory rooms.
This room is for mixed(male & Female).
This bunk bed is made sturdy. It is comfortable.
There are two thick mattresses in the bed. Even the sleeping racket is outstandingly excellent.

Interaction with guests

The staff is permanently stationed.
Therefore, I can support your request as quickly as possible.
You can stay with peace of mind when traveling alone.
We can also provide a lot of local information.

I had a very pleasant stay I this hostel, everything was great. The location is very convenient, in a calm neighborhood. I warmly recommend. Naoto is a great, very helpful host. If you are travelling solo and want a calm place to relax after a daylong temples visiting session it is just the perfect place.

Clean space in a cute coffee shop! I didn't know there was a women's room and a mixed room, so I think the only thing I would do differently next time is book the female room.

Imaya is a great place to stay for the value and the community. Nestled in a quiet street in central Kyoto it is very close to popular destinations Nijo Castle and The Imperial Palace. It has train access via Karasume Oike station or Nijo Station for JR line. The host Naoto is extremely hospitable and kind. And stayed there over a week and enjoy interaction with guests and locals who come to the coffee shop part. Great value for being so central.

Good location in the downtown Kyoto. Not far from subway station. Calm and quiet place. Room is clean. Very good hosting. I recommend you to try breakfast here, its delicious. You will also meet local people come here to this place everyday to take a coffee sip. And you can get hang-out near the place and come back anytime while other hostel usually closed (just keep quiet when you come back to not disturb other guests). I totally recommend this place.

For a hostel, this is a great spot! Very clean and enjoyed the privacy of curtains over the beds.

Naoto is a wonderful person and it was delightful to stay at Imaya Hostel. The hostel is not far from Nijo Castle and very accessible through public transport. It's very clean and comfortable and I only met nice people there. Naoto was a wonderful host and as everybody agrees: he makes amazing coffee.

Great place! The Kyoto Imperial Palace and Nijo Castle are within walking distance, same with a subway and bus stop that can take you anywhere else. I had such a great time staying there and the breakfast was awesome. Highly recommended for someone who wants to explore Kyoto.

“IMAYA Hostel Kyoto" is located in the center of Kyoto, the area designated as the old city aesthetic area.
There is convenience in shopping for purchasing souvenirs such as sightseeing, meal, as well as souvenirs.
Within a 10-minute walk you will find UNESCO World Cultural Heritage "Nijo Castle" and "Kyoto Imperial Palace".
Access to the subway is also a 4-minute walk to Karasuma Oike Station. I will arrive at Shijo Karasuma (2 minutes) and JR Kyoto Station (5 minutes) without changing from there.
Despite such favorable conditions, the surrounding area is quiet in a quiet residential area.
There is nothing like disturbing outdoor hustle and bustle like in downtown area, so you can rest in peacefully in the cafe where classical music flows.

“IMAYA Hostel Kyoto" has dormitory type beds.
There is one for Female Dormitory and one for Mixed Dormitory (Male and Female).
The bed side has a dimmable LED bed light and 2 USB ports so that customers from overseas can also charge smartphones and peripheral devices without worrying about the shape of the outlet.
Even if someone else turned on the lights in the room at midnight because you have a blackout curtain at the capsule entrance, you will not be brought up by the rest inside the capsule.

And the next morning you can wake up with the best smell of coffee.
In the cafe on the first floor, we extract coffee beans delivered from Naples Italy, famous for "the Best Coffee in the World", on a special machine to provide the best delicious espresso. (From 280 yen)
In the cafe, you can also buy Beer, tea and alcohol, but you can eat foods purchased elsewhere.
Here you will be able to take a rest and it will be a place to exchange information among travelers and with people who live in the area and you will surely make your journey even more brilliant.
Because most people are traveling alone, there are lots of mechanisms that each traveler can connect with.

I will serve as owner so that everyone who came in may be satisfied.
If you are planning a trip to Kyoto, please stay “IMAYA Hostel Kyoto".
I am looking forward to seeing you soon!
