My husband and I have just spent our second stay in Piia’s beautiful apartment in less than two weeks. We can not recommend Piia and her apartment enough. Perfectly located in a peaceful area and handy to all attractions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Piia’s beautiful apartment. It had a lovely old world feel, was cosy and we had everything we needed, plus some extra touches which were much appreciated. The apartment is also in a great location allowing easy access to the lovely city of Turku…

The apartment is nice and quiet located in a backyard. Bed was very comfortable. The code-based late check-in was very handy for me. Highly recommended.

Finding the key box and the apartment exact location took a little while and was a bit of a guessing exercise given instructions provided. Once this frustrating stage was behind and once inside, it’s a neat and chic Finnish style place. Actually looks better in real than on the p…

Response from Piia:
Thank you Mikael for sharing your experience. There are step-by-step pictures with information of the key box and doors: a guest gets a link by Airbnb, and one has to press “start check-in”, and application shows detailed photos. I am so sorry to hear you did not find access to that info in the application and got frustrated. Now I have added to the general info that please press the button in the application to see the check-in pictures. A guest can always call, also I (or co-host) answer application messages/texts, and am very happy to help. :) This is the first time ever someone got this much upset of anything really (considering also the personal message I got after the stay) during my almost a year experience of hosting, and well over 50 guests have stayed over. Wi-Fi is via MediaPad and simple to swipe top down and press the first symbol on the left. Instructions are provided. I would love to have Wi-Fi always on, but unfortunately that Pad has no setting that we could get that “automatic turn-off-once-not-used” to disappear. Yes, the nearest evening restaurants and two supermarkets locate in Hämeenkatu (e.g. via walking route Vänrikinkatu-Henrikinkatu-Kerttulinkatu-Hämeenkatu, 700meters, restaurants Italian Hämeenkatu 9, Indian Hämeenkatu 8, Vegetarian Hämeenkatu 8 and supermarkets Hämeenkatu 5 and 6), and more restaurants in Linnankatu next to bridge over the river (1000meters). Lunch places (mainly 11am.-3pm.) more nearby. Maybe it is relevant to add that every arriving guest has right to arrive at 3pm. as announced, but some flexibility might be possible, depending everyone’s timetables. Once you booked you asked “Would there be a possibility to check-in up to 2hrs early and check-out up to 2hrs late from your stated timings?” that are 3pm. and 12am. I confirmed yes it is possible as you ask: arrival at 1pm. and check-out 2pm., and got back your message saying only “Check-in around 2pm, check-out around 3:30pm.Thanks.” Thus I tried asap to ask the next quest’s plans of their arrival time, without luck of an answer, so the cleaning-hour (that is the minimum time) had to be arranged 2pm.-3pm because that is the very latest option considering next quest’s arrival and 2pm. was what was agreed in the first place. As a solution I suggested, you could keep the luggage there and I offered to drive you to railway station around 3:30pm. Your answer to this was in the departure morning “I am changing my plans _ _ checking out at 11:00 am. Good day.” So my apologies, if this upset you that others could not make it to the later check-out than promised, and probably thus the list of “a few minor discomforts” looks fairly long. Thank you very much for measuring the Wi-Fi to be that powerful :) All I knew before it is “4G, unlimited”, so that one can watch programmes via MediaPad or any own device. This apartment is TV-free environment on purpose. :) Enjoyable travels! Piia
