Cozy quiet London flat
The space
This is a nicely sized studio flat with a very small separate kitchen, which means that you can leave your unwashed dishes in the sink without having to look at them while you’re laying in the couch or in bed (yey!). The flat features two large windows, which allow lots of natural light in; the view is of a pretty and quiet street (a dead end street, so hardly any noise from traffic). The flat is located on a first floor. There is a small flight of stairs to reach it.
The flat has a confortable double bed, which sleeps two people. It also includes a couch; a small folding round table and two chairs; a desk and confortable office chair; a bookshelf and a wardrobe. Although it is a studio flat, the space is organised in a way that creates different areas within the same room: there is the bedroom corner; the living room corner; the study bit and the dining room bit. The toilet is tiny but has the basics including a cubicle shower.
The flat has all the appliances you may need to make your stay confortable, including a microwave oven; a regular oven; an electrical stove; kettle; toaster; and sandwich maker. I have all cooking paraphernalia in case you want to prepare food in the flat. There are two electrical heaters that do the trick on colder London nights.
The flat has free high speed wifi. There is also a TV with DVD player, but no cable or any tv signal for that matter. But then again you’re in London, why would you want to watch TV anyways? You're welcome to browse and watch any dvd of my small collection.
Linen, towels, shower gel, shampoo and tea are included, so no need to worry about any of that.
What are you waiting for? ☺
The flat is very nicely located on busy Holloway Road, but facing the back street, which means that you have the convenience of plenty of stores, restaurants and supermarkets at your doorstep, but you will be staying on a super quiet flat. The best of both worlds! There is a large Waitrose supermarket just a block away and on the next one there is a Morrison’s for a cheaper option. If you dread large supermarkets, there are also smaller Sainsbury’s and a Tesco within the same distance range, plus a 24h mini-market literally five doors down from the building entrance, plus a range of shops, take out restaurants and other restaurants (Turkish, Spanish, Italian, Indian, and many more, including the mandatory fried chicken place or ten!) that I’m sure you will find very convenient!
Holloway tube station, on the Piccadilly line, is just 5 minutes away, so two stops (10mins) from King’s Cross St Pancras and 20mins from Soho and the West End. It also connects directly to Heathrow in about 1h. Highbury and Islington tube and Overground station is 15 minutes walking distance. There are also plenty of buses, including night buses, which will take you to most central London locations.
There are a few London guides and maps in the flat that you are more than welcome to use :)
