Jim's cottage is a traditional, brick and flint workman’s cottage built in 1845, located in a quiet cul-de sac. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from the centre of the town.
“Jim’s” has lashings of romantic, original charm , however, it has fully fitted kitchen, refitted bathroom, Wi-Fi and gas central heating. It has been decorated throughout and furnished with new or antique furniture. All beds, bedding, cookware, crockery and soft furnishings are quality.

The space

The cottage and garden are fully serviced and linen, tea towels, bath mat and hand towel are provided. To keep the cost down, we do not usually provide personal towels, but this can be arranged if you need them. Gas, electricity, Wi-Fi and logs for the fire are included in the price.
Children are welcome but pets and smoking are not allowed. Unlike most properties in Holt, there is plenty of parking on the lane at all times of year, usually right outside the cottage.
There is a good sized garden and large outhouse, great for bikes etc..

Guest access

The cottage, outhouse and garden are all yours. Parking is on the lane and you can normally park directly outside the door.

Interaction with guests

We are new to Airbnb but have let the cottage for 12 years and get a 4.8 rating on another site.

A delightful cosy cottage perfectly situated for exploring the north Norfolk coast. I cannot find fault with anything although if you're tall beware the low doorway from the entrance lobby into the kitchen! Everything in the description of the property is spot on and it was very clean when we arrived. Instructions for access to the cottage didn't cause any problem at all and Christopher did contact me to make sure everything was OK after we arrived. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending using this property.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location a short pleasant walk to Holt town. We had a lovely weekend and enjoyed catching the old bus and steam train for Sheringham 40s weekend.

Quite a nice 2 up and 2 down with a good sized garden. Parking outside front door on a quiet dead end lane and only about 7 minutes walk to Holt centre. The house has an open fire with a huge stack of logs supplied which we didn't need as the central heating worked well.
