Based in West London, Ealing. Short walk to South Ealing or Northfields tube stations on Piccadilly tube line (runs every 2-3! Minutes), Heathrow 20mins, central London 25-30mins. Area is leafy and very family friendly, plenty of parks with playgrounds and "pocket friendly" places to eat in. House, just under hundred years old, has some original features, sunny kitchen dining room, south facing garden + small front garden. Cosy home with lovely top room loft conversion with en-suite bathroom.

The space
This is a great property for families with kids that would like to stay for longer and have a bit of both - buzz of central London + peace and greenery to relax in after, with great places to explore and eat locally (you certainly get better value for your money eating out rather than in W1!) or a couple that wants to take is easy with gentle walk by the river combined with visits to W1. The house is very bright and well set up for family life with all gadgetry and mod cons in the kitchen. As this is our home you will find most things you need in the kitchen so won't need to run to the shop (for some olive oil or washing up liquid). Our girls room will be a nice escape for the tired children and if your kids love to read they will find lots of inspiration on the bookshelves (age 8-12). On a warm day the garden is lovely place to rest or play in as well. House was built on two levels as it is on a slight hill so we have lots of stairs therefore unfortunately not very suitable for people that have issue with stairs. Toddlers are welcome but we don’t have staircase guards any more so you would need to watch your child. In the garden is small outhouse with washing machine and tumble dryer. If your kids don't like room sharing downstairs front room could also be used as a "fourth" bedroom.

Guest access
The smallest bedroom (fourth one) in the house is used as an office and is the only room that won't be available for your use.
All other parts of the house are at your disposal.

Other things to note
There is very little point in renting a car for central London (+it is seriously expensive to park and a nightmare to drive into especially at rush hour). If you are a UK guest and are planning to drive parking is restricted on our road but we can sort out the parking permit easily so there is no charge of any kind. Also if you are renting a car for day-trips we can easily arrange parking at short notice. When parking in London always check parking restrictions otherwise it could be costly! Saturday afternoon and Sunday is free to park in central London but again one needs to check restrictions. Never park on double red and best not to do it on double yellow either or make 100% sure it is ok.

In and around Ealing you can discover London that doesn't feature on the first page of the guide book but is equally if not more fascinating. Few minutes walk from the house are two fabulous gourmet pubs (The Plough and The Ealing ParkTavern). Two high streets that lead to the tube stations (South Ealing Road and Northfields Avenue) are full of cafes, shops and places to eat.
We are members of Kew gardens that is only short bus ride away. Kew is not just any botanical garden it is a total gem, superb for families that love nature and outdoors (treetop walk, numerous glasshouses, fantastic playground, pagoda, historical buildings - you can explore it for a week and you won't see it all...). Along the Thames you will find Strand on the green - amazing stretch of, in some cases, few hundred years old houses, now gastro pubs - they go back to the time when "river was the road today". Close to the Kew bridge is London steam museum (very local and quite a quirky place). London is essentially made up of lots of towns that merged into one, which means one can eat out very well locally in Ealing/Chiswick/Richmond (walk, bus ride or short cab ride). Overall the neighbourhood is very safe and family friendly + you can walk everywhere!.
If you are a keen cyclist you can cycle off road, mostly flat, from the house all the way to the Hampton Court and spend fabulous day there. We happy to help with route if interested.
Harry Potter World is west from Ealing and is 40 mins drive away.
Hampton Court Palace is 30 mins drive.
Westfield Shopping Centre (biggest in Europe) 30 mins on the tube.
Legoland Windsor 30 mins by car.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is 40 mins by car.
Brighton 75 mins.
Windsor castle 30 mins by car.

We are a British Croatian family of four, our twin girls are 9 years old. Both Professionals in media industry. We love the idea of house sharing which enables us to travel and explore the world more often. We love living in our neighbourhood especially as it is very green, family friendly and near River Thames. We are big fans of all food especially Asian + our kitchen is well stocked up with various cookbooks, sauces and spices and cooking gadgets. If you have forgotten your reading material you might find some of our books intriguing! We love feeling at home away from home and hope you will feel the same in our house!

During your stay
Please feel free to ask about the area! Googlemaps will give you a good idea on where Ealing is in regards to Central London attractions. Proximity Picadilly tube line (runs during the night on the weekend as well) means you are only 20-30 mins away from everything in central / West London, like Nothing Hill, South Kensington, Exhibition Road etc.
