Our unique home is a heritage listed Lightkeepers Cottage circa 1890. Perched high above the Great Ocean Road we are surrounded by the Eaglerock Marine Sanctuary, stunning beaches and the Otway National Park. Spend your time meandering on long sandy beaches or rockpool rambles, clifftop walks, forest trails, twitching, swimming in the river, climbing the Lighthouse or eating out in local restaurants and cafes.
"Throw your car keys on the floor as you won't be needing them anymore"

The space
Our two attached cottages were built in 1890 to house the Assistant Lightkeepers of the Split Point Lighthouse, Aireys Inlet. The White Queen is still a working lighthouse guiding ships through the dangerous waters of the Great Sourthern Ocean. The Aireys Inlet cottages are one of only a few privately owned Lighthouse Keepers cottages in Australia. Now heritage listed, they have been lovingly restored to retain the original features and character of these beautiful and historic buildings. Cottage No.3 is self contained with two light filled cosy bedrooms, bathroom, small kitchenette and living room with an open fire. Surrounded by expansive verandas and a north facing courtyard. We provide Nespresso coffee and tea making facilities, bar fridge, microwave, toaster but no cooking facilities, however the Tea Rooms located in the old horse stables right next door serves breakfast, lunch and delicious scones ( which are perfect to bring back to have in the garden or beside our cosy open fire on a cold winters day ).Ideal for a couples getaway.
Nestled under the Lighthouse in spacious gardens on the doorstep of the famous Clifftop walk and beautiful pristine beaches nestled between rocky clifftops make it a stunning location in summer or winter.
Aireys Inlet is a small coastal community, where four generations of our family currently live.

Guest access
Your cottage ( No 3 ) is self contained, with private access .Feel free to explore the vegetable and flower garden, or take your tea, coffee or glass of wine to one of several lookouts within the Lighthouse precinct to watch the sun rising or setting.

Other things to note
Quality linen and bath towels included.
Nespresso/tea included
Our dog Elsie is on site and loves to be taken on walks
Wifi
I am as concerned as you are about the cottage being thoroughly clean and sanitized, so I follow Airbnb's enhanced cleaning protocol and also maintain a minimum of 72 hours between guests.
