.Beckworth Retreat is a working farm with Aust White Sheep located at the foot of Mt Beckworth just 20 minutes from Ballarat.
Wake up to the magpies outside your window, go to sleep with the frogs, kookaburras or cockatoos calling from the creek. Ahh...the serenity!

The space
Your 2 bedroom area has a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle - suitable for breakfast/snacks but NOT cooking meals) and a large bathroom (separate shower and large bath with a grand view).

There is also a new fully equiped Guest Kitchen /Dining area but please note that this is a shared area with other guests if they are present.

Bedroom arrangements are flexible ie Twins or King Bed in one room. (Please contact if you require extra beds as there are several options including baby basinette / highchair etc).

Guest access
There is an extensive garden area (enclosed for your furry friends but if not well disciplined they must be on leash) and large verandah areas where you can always find a spot to just sit in the sun or the shade.
Walkers can access Mt Beckworth Scenic Reserve via our farm tracks.

Other things to note
Great Firepit and BBQ facilities are available but we do recommend many of the local restaurants/cafes/hotels for lunches and dinner.
Tea/Coffee essentials are provided and Breakfast Essentials or BBQ pack could be provided if requested with sufficient notice.

The historic township of Clunes (Victoria's first gold mining town) is only 5' drive and it is highly recommended to spend some hours browsing through the Booktown stores or just sitting having a coffee in the historic "film set" main street.

We have lived and worked all over Australia and New Zealand (school teachers) and done a lot of travel ourselves. We love people and love to share our little bit of paradise at Beckworth Retreat which has been in the family for over 150 years. Now we are retired from Education and enjoy farming fulltime - what a great life!
