A 17th century, beautiful cottage set in Chawton village, and a minute's walk from Jane Austen's house & museum. It has good access to London via train or car and is the perfect escape to a quintessential English village and countryside experience. We love the cottage for its unique charm and warmth, and we hope to extend that to you during your stay!

We aim to always meet and greet our guests. We live locally so will always be on hand for anything you need. We also offer where possible to pick guests up from the Alton railway station free of charge (we do work so it would have to fit around our own working arrangements). We are also happy to assist in any way with recommendations for local restaurants, tourist information, and our favourite walks and hikes.
Our main priority is that you have a lovely time and that you leave Chawton wanting to come back.
