John's place is great. Above the garage (stairs), it is fully self-contained, full kitchen/dishes/utensils/pans/washing machine/bathroom/shower/tub/own entrance/TV with many options, parking off street, Wi-Fi, etc. Modern renovation and very well done. The bedroom is a separate room from the rest of the flat, and there is even a second room that is appointed as a changing/dressing room, but could be a second bedroom for kids if you have sleeping bags or such to put in there. Very friendly owner. Very helpful. He has walking path recommendations, maps and local brochures in the room for you as well. The small village is photogenic and nice to walk around. I did not get a chance to eat at the village pub/restaurant but it looked nice. The village is somewhat remote, and you will only see signs for it once you get to an adjacent village. So know your route, have a plan (GPS on your phone might react too slowly and you will miss turns), you will get used to it and stop making wrong turns after one day ;-). If you are comfortable driving on thin country roads and one lane roads, using the soft shoulders when tractors come in the opposite direction, then this drive is no worry for you. It takes about 15 minutes to drive out to the M40 from the village. Beautiful country roads. Watch out for the hares, badgers, and foxes crossing the roads! And always look out for people riding their horses. Mobile phone coverage is "ok" (1-2 bars of signal strength) and some calls will drop eventually. I am very glad I stayed here and I would gladly stay here again.

John was quick and clear to communicate. He welcomed us on arrival and showed us around, offering to provide any additional information that we might need. The flat is nicely finished, spacious and very well equipped. As mentioned in previous reviews the personal touches and treats are most appreciated. The village of Eydon is very pretty and John has gone to the trouble of printing out various walks in the area. Eydon is also perfectly situated for reaching the Cotswolds, Stratford Upon Avon and Northamptonshire. We had a great stay and hope to return.
