The space
Set on a quiet Lane with beautiful courtyard garden the self contained guesthouse is separate from the main home and has its own private access but please note it is close to our home.
Would suit couples looking for that special getaway, friends or family looking to share the space, adventurers looking for some fun and business travellers.
Some recent enquires on how far we are from the ski fields from our guesthouse are.
Porepunkah is a 9.6 klm 15min drive to base of Mt Buffalo which is a 20 klm 1 hr drive to top of mountain.
Harrietville is a 16klm 25 minute drive to base of Mt Hotham a 27 klm 1hr 10 minute drive to top of mountain.
Mt Beauty is a 17 klm 38 minute drive to base of Falls Creek which is 28 klm 1hr 20 minute drive to top ski field mountain.
This 2 bedroom guesthouse is furnished with a Queen bed made up with quality linen in the main bedroom. Bedroom 2 is smaller and furnished with a king single bed.
There is also a Couch in lounge area which coverts to a sofa bed.
PLEASE let us know at the time of the booking if you will be using the extra beds. If you have booked an extra guest to stay the linen is included in their extra guests fee you’ve already paid but if you’ve booked for 2 guests to stay but are sleeping separately we are happy for you to bring your own bedding for the sofa bed (double bed size bedding fits it) or king single sized bedding for the other bedroom. If you need to hire extra bedding it will be an additional cost of $20 per set, payable in cash at the time of your stay.
If you are coming with children and require a porta cot, high chair or toddler trundle bed let us know as we can arrange hire for them and can let you know what the cost to hire will be.
There is an additional nightly charge for extra guests after 2 people so Please remember to msg us at time of the booking to discuss sleeping arrangements with linen.
The Kitchenette is equipped with Bar fridge, Microwave, electric 2 plate stove top cooker, air fryer, Toaster, Kettle, Coffee machine ( if you'd like to bring your own ground coffee) Rice cooker, pots/frying pans and basic cooking implements etc.
In the BBQ area we also have another electric 2 plate stove top Cooker and there is also a weber BBQ.
We would ask you to be mindful and if you are cooking smelly fishy spicy food to please cook it in the outdoor bbq area.
We also supply a complimentary arrival basket with a selection of teas, coffee, sugar, Muesli, Cornflakes, weetbix, biscuits and a small milk.

We supply towels and also Soap/shampoo/conditioner.
Smart tv with Netflix, bluetooth iPod/cd/radio player, books and board games.
There is a reverse cycle split system for heating and cooling in living space.
Wall heater and fans in bedrooms and bar heater in the bathroom.
( For safety and energy reasons Please remember to turn it “OFF” when not there. If you’d like us to pop it back on before you get back and we are available that can be arranged)
We do have WIFI but somedays it is patchy and slow and other days it's fine...just a result of country living in between mountains. We have had a tech out to put on a booster which has helped pick up a stronger signal but Please be prepared if during your stay our wifi isn't up to speed!
We've also put together a booklet of things to see and do with some maps and has take away menu's etc in it as well.
If you try to book Friday night you will be required to book Saturday too as weekends are two night minimum.
Guest access
We ask guests to park by the little gate with the timber arch the path there will lead down to the room. There is no under cover parking.
Guests have access to the guesthouse, outdoor seating in courtyard and BBQ area.
If you require provisions before you arrive search Little Bright Kitchen online you will see little Beechworth kitchen and the bright menu will be on there. Order direct to be delivered on the day you arrive.
We also ask that you respect our space and that Our House and our sheds and our backyard are out of bounds at all times. If you need to talk to us we can be contacted by phone or message. As we do live on the property too you will at times see us around and we will at times have friends or family over visiting. We have separate entrances but on occasion use the driveway passing the guesthouse yard area. We will always respect your privacy and space and be mindful of noise. Thank you.
Other things to note
We are a family with a young child and excitable Bonnie our tiny Jackhighland terrier pup ( loves a belly rub) and small young pup with long legs Dobby the miniature Dachshund x Kelpie. We will do our best to keep them away from guests but the may pop by to say hello at times.
We ask you to be mindful to keep the gate shut at all times.
We also have home security cameras at the front and rear of "our house" and also at "rear sheds/carport" to protect our security/privacy etc.
We "DO NOT" have camera's in the guest house or outside your space around the guesthouse to respect your privacy.
