Self-contained little basic cosy bungalow cabin. This cabin offers spectacular views of Mt Ruapehu from the comfort of the sofa or bed. There's horses in the paddock next to us, as well as sheep, so you can get in touch with nature and relax.

Base yourself here for your Ruapehu ski trip, do the Tongariro Crossing, one of the world's best day hikes, rent a bike and cycle the Old Coach Road, or use this cabin to rest and relax.

The space
Our home is cosy, quiet, and comfortable. Perfect for a relaxing stay. The bed is king sized, and the lounge has a king single sofa bed. All linen, sheets and towels etc are provided. A heater is provided for those chilly winter nights.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, portable grill, electric frypan, kettle, toaster, teabags, instant coffee, sugar, and whiteware.

There is free unlimited wifi, games, a book swap, and puzzles provided for you to use.

Guest access
The garden is accessible for the cabin and available for you to use. It is worth noting there is a small pond, so young children will need to be watched when in the garden.

The cabin is completely private to you with shower, toilet, bedroom, lounge and your own deck area, and your own separate entrance. The garden is shared with our other BnB on the same property.

Other things to note
Please note there is another BnB on the same property. They are totally separate buildings but you may see each other in the garden! Guests are asked to leave the place tidy, dishes cleaned and dried.

Location

Rangataua, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand

There is plenty to do in summer or winter, including mountain biking, skiing, walking, rocking climbing, and much more. There are mountain bike tracks in Rangataua, so you can set off from the cabin!

We are close to Turoa, Whakapapa and Tukino ski fields, many gorgeous nature walks, bike tracks, hikes, the Old Coach Road, and much more. A short drive to the Tongariro Crossing, one of the best day hikes in the world.

Rangataua is rural, and very beautiful. You will have spectacular views of Mt Ruapehu providing the weather is clear! The night sky from the cabin is beautiful with absolutely no light pollution, so lay back, relax, and do some stargazing.

Ohakune township (5 min drive) has a supermarket, restaurants, cafes, the best eclairs in the world, takeaways, bike & ski hire, a pharmacy, and more.
