We are situated 1 mile from Bankfoot in beautiful Perthshire on cycling Route 77 and within minutes of the A9 giving easy access to the Highlands but also within an hours drive of Edinburgh or Glasgow. We are the prefect location for walkers, cyclists, golfers, and the many other activities available in the surrounding area.
The Ordie is a two bedroom apartment sleeping 4 people and is ideally situated in the countryside, just 1 mile from the Perthshire village of Bankfoot on the southern edge of the Highlands. Part of our house, but completely private, this first floor apartment is immaculately presented providing spacious, contemporary accommodation, ideal for relaxing in and enjoying the area with family and friends. The large garden, shared with the us, has the Ordie Burn running through the bottom of it, and is the perfect place in which to relax with a glass of wine, whilst enjoying the lovely views over the surrounding countryside. There are many walks close by and Bankfoot is only 1 mile away which is a easy walk to the local pub, The Bankfoot Inn; to visit the Perthshire visitor centre and restaurant; shop and children’s play park.
This area of Perthshire is named ‘Big Tree Country’ with some remarkable trees and beautiful landscapes with forests and glens, rolling hills and spectacular mountains, rivers and lochs. Here you will find many outdoor activities with some of the best fishing rivers and famous golf courses nearby. The area offers activities to suit all ages and tastes, including historic castles, stately homes and gardens, whisky distilleries, and for the younger people, there is a children’s activity centre and a safari park within a short drive. The fair city of Perth is within easy reach for shopping, dining, arts and culture. The Ordie can be booked together with The Garry to accommodate up to 6/8 guests.
