The space
The residence, today the House of the Family ARENA BALMOSSIERE CHARTROUX, hasan old history of over six hundred years.
Built in the fourteenth century and totally renovated at the beginning of the eighteenth century in the styke of the Sicilian rococo, it had been the home of the family of the painter Gaspare Serenario, an outstanding expression of 18th century sacred pictorial art.
After the long period of decline and abandonment that negatively marked the history of the entire historical center of Palermo, it was acquired by the aforementioned Family at the end of the last century, who, through a wise and careful work of consolidation and restoration of the interior, returned it fully to the ancient deserved dignity.
The façade, overlooking the main street of the historic Mercato del Capo, although not yet restored, with the signs of the time still visible, contains the Dimora ARENA BALMOSSIERE (on the first floor), which jealously preserves its eighteenth-century atmosphere with its valuable antique furnishings.
An antique harp ERARD of 1847 and an even more interesting Concert piano also ERARD of 1861, today fully returned to the concert activity by a skilful restoration work, together with other curious and unusual small musical instruments of the period, well welcome guests who are lovers of music.

The apartment has a large entrance hall, bathroom, kitchen, two bedrooms, a study area with internet connection and TV, a lounge, three balconies overlooking the Cape market. The two bedrooms have a double bed each, plus there is the possibility of adding an baby camping bed in one of the bedrooms. The house can accommodate a total of 4 people. The house is equipped with radiator heating in all rooms and air conditioning in the bedrooms.
In the kitchen is fully equipped in order to let our guests enjoy cooking the frsh products of Sicily. Laundry service is available on request.
