Jiang Lha is an eco-retreat set among the mountains overlooking the Mae Rim valley. Designed to reflect classic Lanna culture, we offer a unique experience taking you back in time to the traditional country lifestyle of Northern Thailand.

Within the resort you'll find several large terraces for relaxing, doing yoga or meditating. There are two swimming pools, an art gallery and an organic garden. There are also many places to go hiking or cycling.

The space

Garden villas provide spacious accommodation with one bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen area, inside and outside sitting area, balcony overlooking the natural pond, and there is also a downstairs artist studio that guests are able to use if they so wish to take on an art project while staying here (the resort is also an artist retreat).

There is a bamboo walkway that connects these bungalows to the main house as well as the natural swimming pond and lush green garden which all villas are built around.

Guest access

Guests can use all public areas around the resort.

Definitely stay here! We stayed for one night to get away for the weekend and it was just what the doctor prescribed. There is a bamboo walkway connecting bamboo huts. There is also a wood Thai style home with rooms you can stay in. The view is beautiful. The hosts are wonderful and speak English well.

Super awesome retreat in a scenic area just north of chiang mai. If you like waking up to the birds chirping this place is for you. There is a ton of things to do from atv-ing to insect, monkey, and tiger zoos. The staff was amazing and very accomodating! Definitely check this place out!

The location looking down the mountains over the valley is amazing. The garden with pond is beautiful. The location is remote which is good for serenity but can be difficult if you want to leave the area. If we had known earlier that scooters where availible for rent we would have done some more exploring of the area. The food was good and the family very friendly!

I'd say it is the best place I've ever been staying, with amazing scenery and special bunglow & bamboo villa. I love everything here including the chairs in the dining room and antique on the table, full of artistic and original atmosphere, even the food is exquisite. Thanks to Krissy when she learnt that I would be travelling with a four-year-old kid she arranged for me another more comfortable room which is so well maintained that even in such a rainy season you can not feel moldy and moist. This place is so close to various places of interest including Mae Sa Waterfall that you can ever hear its water flow sound. I regret I didn't stay there longer this time.
