Our beautifully rennovated family home sleeps 10, has stunning river frontage and is a five minute bushland walk to the beach. Our home is in a peaceful, family friendly street and is conveniently located near cafés, airport, beaches and amenities.
Our family home has 5 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps a maximum of 10 in 1 king, 2 queens, 1 double bed and 2 singles. There are also 2 single mattresses, a camping bed and a cot which can be used for alternative sleeping configurations.
It is a 300 meter walk to a stunning, uncrowded beach through a beautiful bush track at the end of the street.
It has peaceful water views as it backs directly onto the river, perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing or just having a cuppa on the love seat watching the ducks cruise by.
It has a huge open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area with water views.
The house has 2 bathrooms both with bath and there is also an outdoor hot and cold shower.
The kitchen is stainless steel and ceaserstone, with gas cook top, oven and dishwasher.
There is a huge flat screen smart TV, blu ray, apple TV and wii.
There is free wifi.
The laundry is fully equipped with washing machine and dryer.
The huge, fully fenced yard has a cubby house and play equipment for kids, an undercover day bed, deck with outdoor dining setting, swing chair, verandah with comfy seats to enjoy the view and another mini outdoor dining spot.
The fruit and veggie garden is yours for the picking.
The weekly rate includes a basic eco clean of the bamboo floors, bathrooms and kitchen.
The house is a short walk to the local corner store where you can get lovely pizzas, burgers and coffees.
We are a short bike ride to the local weekly farmers markets and cafe.
We are 35 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 45 mins to the worlds (Sea, Dream, Movie, Wet and Wild etc), 5 mins to Brunswick Heads and 20mins to Byron Bay and Bangalow.
There are kayaks, boogie boards, kids soft boards and surf mat available. There are also baby items and bikes that can be made available on request. Guests will have access to an extensive DVD collection and books for use whilst staying.
Interaction with guests
We will be available via email and text (Viber or iMessage if we are overseas) for any questions. Someone will meet you and settle you in on arrival.
Our home is strictly non smoking.
We are a vegetarian family so our custom built kitchen is not well suited to cooking meat inside as there is no rangehood. We do have a BBQ located just outside the kitchen for your use and would prefer you use this if you would like to cook meat.
Our home has been rennovated with the environment in mind. We have solar electricity and hot water. We encourage you to use the washing machine and dishwasher during sunlight hours in order to minimise environmental impact. We have a worm farm you are welcome to use.
Our floors are made of sustainable bamboo. While they are very hard they are also very sensitive to water. Please mop up any spills straight away or the floor will swell and be damaged. Our weekly rate includes a mid week clean of the floors as they require a specialty mop. Please don't mop the floors.
Please respect our wonderful community of neighbours and keep noise to a minimum.
Due to our vicinity to festival sites and the size of our home we have had to enforce a strict no party policy and thank guest for their respect and understanding of these rules. Drug or excessive alcohol consumption and noisy behaviour is not permitted at any time. Only guests named on the booking are permitted on site unless otherwise preapproved at our discretion.
Sorry no fur friends can be accommodated.
Rubbish is included according to Byron Shire Council allocation. Excess rubbish is allowable if you require at an added fee.
From Dec 15, 2017 - Jan 29, 2018 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
