Lois made our stay easy, the accomodation is nice, very clean and tidy. Lois leaves a nice breakfast for us to cook eggs toast and cereal with fresh fruit. Great value for money

Lois and Ken's place was a great find in a remote area. We used it as for a business trip hub, while travelling to other towns in the area. For this purpose it was great! Lovely people to deal with.

Great place to stay in the Vic Goldfields. Terrific hosts that left us to ourselves and provided all the essentials you could need (and most likely forget to take). Would be really hard to beat for value for money. Highly recommend to other guests.

Cosy, comfortable and clean. Access was a breeze with Lois there to greet us. Special treats and lovely breakfast goodies were an extra bonus!

If you are looking for a getaway - this place is fabulous. We really enjoyed exploring the area and lots of lovely long bush walks with our dog Tiber (although we almost lost him when he took off after some kangaroos). It was such a bonus being able to take our dog away with us. It was a secure backyard so we could relax knowing he was safe when we went out without him. The hosts, Lois & Ken, were so thoughtful and lovely. There is a general store in town, but that's it - so Lois has generously stocked up with everything you could possibly need. She had all the essentials, herbs, flour, butter, oil plus wine/beer, ice-cream, bread, butter, fresh local fruit, breakfast goodies and I was delighted to find a coffee machine. We arrived late on Friday and were able to enjoy Lois' homemade Thai pumpkin soup for our dinner, she also had some lovely yoyo biscuits and other homemade goodies including quince jelly to go on my toast. It was cold when we were there but we were cosy in the cottage. We played chess, cards and were able to watch TV/DVDs. We had a wifi connection. We explored the local area and particularly enjoyed Dunolly, they had their market on that weekend and we dined at a fabulous new restaurant/cafe that has just opened up...I can't remember the name of it though... We were made to feel very welcome indeed and really enjoyed our long weekend getaway. Thanks so very much

The Fig Tree Cottage was the perfect quiet night that we needed while travelling back to Adelaide with our new puppy which Lois and Ken were more than happy to accommodate. The cottage is very cozy and the main bed was super comfy. Our stay for the night came included with breakfast and coffee, I highly recommend trying Lois' jam on your crumpets!

Lois and Ken have done a great job in converting this historic building into a fabulous and well-equipped home away from home. Fig Tree Cottage is absolutely perfect for visitors who are seeking a quiet and relaxed time. The cottage is fully equipped for a family with a great kitchen, 3 comfortable bedrooms and a cosy lounge. I highly recommend this lovely cottage to anyone who wants to spend time enjoying genuine Victorian country lifestyle.
