Whether you are traveling solo for work, or for recreation with your family, our lovely two bedroom, 1200 square foot guest house is ideal. One of two houses on the property (we live in the other) designed and built in 1920 as a summer residence for a local family. These 5.5 acres of park-like setting are situated on the serene Stillwater River. Tucked away, in the midst of the suburbs, surrounded by trees, gardens and the sound of birds, this gem of a place is a perfect home away from home.

My husband, Michael, and I are Canadians who were transplanted to Dayton, OH for a work opportunity in mid 2016. It's been a wonderful adventure so far, changing our whole lives. A bit about us...we love books, going to concerts, the art gallery, and especially to the theatre. We've recently taken up motorcycle riding and acrylic painting (with aspirations of taking on oils and watercolor). Two grown daughters out of the house and four cats and a puppy in and out of the house. Although we are new to Airbnb and to hosting, we are avid travelers ourselves, so we know you somewhat already, and look forward to welcoming you to our amazing property and the Blue Heron Guesthouse. When we first visited the property a beautiful blue heron flew overhead and that's when we knew that this was the place for us.
