This beautiful Victorian cottage is in the street at the bottom of Shaftesbury's famous Gold Hill with the town just a ten minute walk away. At the same time it has stunning views over a huge garden (with a 250 year old Tulip Tree) and a panorama of the country around Melbury Beacon.
The cottage still has atmosphere while having all modern amenities including a utility room with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen has an induction hob, coffee maker and microwave
The conservatory is huge and the views over the garden and the Tulip Tree make it special. There is a sitting area outside on the patio
There are steps down from the front door into the cottage.
Parking is off road in our shared driveway and is very secure
Interaction with guests
Chantry Cottage is attached to The Chantry which is our family home. We would be delighted to provide as much help as you need in terms of introducing you to the area - or we can leave you completely in peace!
Basics such as milk, tea and coffee will be left for you
Other things to note
We have a big garden with play equipment and seating. Please note that use of these is at your own risk and we do not accept responsibility for any injuries that may result.
Walking is one of the main enjoyments of the area. Please let us know if you would like to have some tried and tested walks that we have done

I love the countryside, water ( sea or lake) and places with history.
Spend a lot of time in beautiful France and speak French. I work in the voluntary sector. I am also a qualified English language teacher and enjoy having visitors living with us in our English home to improve their language skills
