This wonderfully located, north facing, cosy Federation weatherboard home is well situated on a flat block, close to cafes, shops, restaurants and parks.
Located approx. 1.5km (15 min walk or 5 min drive) from the city centre of Hobart/Salamanca, the property is conveniently located in historical and eclectic North Hobart. North Hobart is a trendy, central location between MONA and the Hobart waterfront/city centre, with the popular North Hobart restaurant/cafe strip only one block away.
The cottage has been tastefully renovated with a fresh, light, modern feel and has everything you could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay including free WiFi, beautiful crisp white hotel-quality linen, clean fresh interior, smart TV, Federation features including a stunning front veranda - the perfect spot to enjoy your morning cuppa, fireplaces, high ceilings and original picture rails.
Our fully renovated cottage is beautifully furnished with quality modern artwork and furniture and features flat access, sunny north-facing decked courtyard, veranda perfect for watching the world go by, large modern bathroom, separate laundry with washing machine, clothes dryer, three double bedrooms, open plan kitchen/dining with dining table and bar seating, separate lounge with smart TV, dishwasher, wood heater, reverse cycle air-conditioning, Nespresso coffee machine and complementary tea, coffee and milk.
The three generous size bedrooms all have queen size beds with electric blankets, two with large built-in wardrobes.
The brand new bathroom is the perfect place to take a bath and relax after a day of shopping or walking. The spacious bathroom has an extra deep full size bath and separate shower. We supply guests with quality supplies including soap, shampoo and conditioner.
The timber deck courtyard has great all day sun, and provides you with an excellent sheltered, private and sunny area to entertain around the outdoor setting. With bi-fold windows opening from the kitchen onto the outdoor servery, guest can enjoy full convenience. It's the ideal place to eat lunch in the sun or make the most of the long summer evenings.
Parking:
There is free, unrestricted parking directly across the road from the cottage and intermittently (both sides) in George Street. Directly outside the cottage there is free, 2 hour parking Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays, between 8-6pm.
The very popular, family friendly Soundy Park is located 240m/3 min walk from White Cottage. The park has a huge fully fenced playground and excellent BBQ facilities and public toilets, perfect for families with children of all ages.
We are family friendly and welcome young children and infants. Available upon request are a high chair and portacot (guests to provide linen). If you require these items, please request these items with your booking request.
We also own and manage nearby White Barn (2 bedroom, sleeps 4 guests), White Cottage West (4 bedroom, sleeps 8 guests) and White Cottage South (3 bed, sleeps 6) and The Chalet & The Pavilion (sauna and tennis court, sleeps up to 12 in two dwellings) in Spring Beach on Tassie’s east coast, 1 hour from Hobart and 10 mins from the Maria Island ferry terminal (@thepavilion_tas).
Guest access
You will have access to the entire property. Please note that you will have access to the number of bedrooms as requested in your booking request only. We have a convenient electronic key pad entry so you don't have to worry about keys.
