Battenhurst Barn is located in the beautiful Sussex countryside near the picturesque village of Burwash where you will find Batemans the home where Rudyard Kipling once lived and a good selection of pubs, tea shops and antique shops. With public footpaths from the barn it is a perfect place to unwind yet only an hour by train to London and half an hour to the coastal resort of Hastings.
Recently converted, the Barn is spacious and modern yet with rustic charm! You will have exclusive use of the Barn in the Oast grounds so you can come and go as you please and have your own key. You have your own bedroom with double bed, the bathroom and the entire downstairs open plan living area with kitchen. You can also enjoy the garden with large outside table and bench seating with BBQ. Tea and coffee facilities are provided. I am in the oast house opposite if you need me...
You can access the whole house !
Other things to note
As the downstairs floor is natural limestone and the upstairs floors are wooden we advise guests to bring slippers.
As we live in the country, there is a lot of mud around so please can you take off your shoes inside the barn.
Also as there is no cleaning charge, we would be very grateful if you could leave the barn as you found it - thank you !
From Dec 23, 2017 - Jan 02, 2018 the minimum stay is 4 nights.
I have put together an information pack for you but please feel free to ask for any local tips as I have lived here in the Oast for almost 20 years!
