Cozy room in a lovely building. It is listed as a "private room" because it is shared with other rooms but the host does not live on site and so it has must more of a Bed and Breakfast feel than other "private room" listings where you live with a host in their flat. Highly recommended!!

this house is super cool and well situated. it is a tranquil retreat (except for a neighboring dog which will bark upon every entry and exit from the guest house). my ground-floor suite was spacious and comfortable, though it lacked some details, such as a towel hook for the shower or curtains to provide privacy from the alley traffic (something at least one other guest has mentioned). beach towels were provided, which is a rare amenity. there was a misunderstanding regarding cleaning (one does NOT, in fact, get a cleaning or linen change mid-way through a one-week stay, despite the listing saying that such was included in the price) which quickly turned shockingly ugly. though the hostess tried to make amends, i feel obligated to document the incident in case this is part of a pattern of behavior that other guests have experienced. the quality of the breakfast was inconsistent and generally poor, and never included fruit. with all that said, i can recommend this place. if you do stay, please do visit the local bodega run by tiago and his father!

Only 40mn in train to downtown Lisbon, this lovely town is perfect if you want to visit the city but stay in a quiet environment. It's also very easy to go to Sintra by bus which is pretty cool. Would definitely recommend this place if you visit Lisbon. Tip: take a Uber from the airport if you can it's quite a long ride in metro and train with the luggage.

Lovely house in a beautiful location. My room was an ideal size for me. Very comfortable bed and nice bed linens. The rooms at back don't get direct sunlight especially on the ground floor room where I stayed. There's a lane behind the house, passers-by (sometimes very noisy) could look in the room. I left the shutters closed almost all the time which made the room very dark.

Fantastic accomodation, full of character and well looked after. Rooms and all public spaces very very clean. Location also superb, only a few minutes walk from anywhere central. Only suggestion would be for the light sleepers that they may find a pair of earplugs helpful. Would certainly stay again!

I was living at this fantastic home for some years. Now all family we have moved to the country side were we create art and produce wine. All our life is around art, beauty and good feelings. We hope you will enjoy been in "Ninho Salino". The name of our house is inspired in one of the exhibitions we had at the Fundação Dom Luis. Nest is a symbolic act and has inspired much of our art work. We hope you will enjoy the ambiance of the house, its art, its wine, its people and the Cascais Museum Quarter around it, which is one of the most inspiring areas for contemporary art. Do not miss the Paula Rego Museum, the Cidadela Art District and the Fundação Dom Luis. All this places are just five minutes walking from the house.
