Daintree Magic is a beautiful self contained, 3 bdrm cottage set high in the treetops of the tropical World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. It boasts spectacular ocean views, overlooking the Coral Sea and the Great Barrier Reef. It is the closest accom to the beach, peaceful, secluded, quiet and relaxing, the only sounds are birds and the waves and has a plunge pool.
This magical retreat is fully self sustainable run purely on solar power and rain water, ideal for those wanting to get off grid.

The space
Daintree Magic Holiday House, comes fully furnished and self contained, with all linen and towels provided. It is the closest accommodation to the beach. Boasting a brand new beautiful plunge pool to cool off in, with stunning views of the rainforest and ocean from the pool.
Just an 8 min walk to the gorgeous Cow Bay Beach. There is the Great Barrier Reef out the front and the reef starts, just 20 metres off the sand! There are Cassowaries roaming around and regularly spotted by our guests. There are fresh water swimming holes, cafes, restaurants and tours all close by.
There is an amazing big corner bath on the front veranda overlooking the sea views and a hammock to relax in.
This is the perfect holiday house to unwind and escape from the rest of the world. Only 1 hour north of Port Douglas.
We are fully self sustainable, run on solar power and rain water, we have limited satalite wifi, but not enough for excessive use, there is also a house phone to make local calls from and to receive calls. If you want to give the house number to family while your staying there it is
The house has gas hot water, gas stove and oven with grill for toasting, electric fridge.
There are no hair dryers or hair straighteners allowed due to the solar power. There is a generator for back up power if the solar ever cuts out, which is very easy to turn on.
There are hand washing facilities but no washing machine. If you really need to do laundry there are public machines at Lync Haven just up the road.

Guest access
Daintree Magic is close to the beach and surrounded by the Daintree Rainforest.
Guests can park underneath the house. There is not a huge area for parking so 3 cars is max.

Other things to note
I will leave guests ferry tickets to save you money when crossing the Daintree River, I will leave them at the ferry ticket booth for you with Daintree Magic written on them as the name.
Smoking outside only please.
Please be considerate of the Solar Power and Rain Water and conserve both, no hairdryers or hair straighteners.
There is no washing machine due to the solar power, but there is a sink for hand washing and a drying rack. There are washing machines for your use at Crocodylus resort, just up the road, call them to book that in. There are also full laundromats at Mossman and Port Douglas.
If you have children, please ensure they don't draw over the house or furniture, thank you. Please make sure you wash feet before entering the pool, no sand or mud allowed int he pool.
Please keep the plunge pool clean by making sure your feet and bodies are clean, no sand or mud allowed in pool.
Please swim in the fresh water swimming holes in the area, as there are sometimes crocodiles sighted along the coastline.
Some great swimming holes close by are just up the end of Buchannan creek road, just before you get to Floravilla, or just behind Mason's cafe further along the the main Cape Tribulation road, or Emagun's creek just north of Cape Tribulation.
We have a compendium in the house with some local recommended tours, local masseuse, local cafes and restaurants.
Please do your food shop at Woolworths in Mossman on your drive north, as there is only a small store / service station at Cape Tribulation. There is coffee plunger and perculator in the house for coffee, so grab some ground coffee if you like coffee. There are basic supplies like salt, pepper and oil in the cupboard.
