To the east of Perigueux, in the beautiful Dordogne and Perigord Noir region, is a recently restored stone-built farmhouse with a delightful gite holiday home beside it.
Enjoying a lovely position on a south facing hillside over-looking the Vezere valley, it is a perfect base for visiting the many splendid and historic tourist attractions.
The accommodation is of a high standard for 2 people. (king size bed/twin beds)
Private access to Heated Pool, Sauna, Gym and Playroom. 2ha Park.

The space
The accommodation is of a high standard for 2 people, originally an old bakery which has been lovingly rebuilt using the old stone and some original features.
The ground floor is open-plan and provides a lounge, dining area and a well equipped kitchen.Outside the kitchen door is a private terrace which captures the morning sun making it a lovely place for breakfast.
A second pair of doors lead out from the lounge onto a balcony overlooking the valley. This is a great place for dining al fresco on a warm evening and, for you romantics, enjoying the beautiful sunset.
Stairs lead up to the bedroom. Two steps up is the toilet/ shower room.
The bed is king size but we can also offer twin beds so that, whilst we consider the gite as an ideal little ‘love nest’ for a couple, it is equally suitable for 2 friends who want to come and share a fabulous holiday.

Guest access
Located at ten steps from you accomodation, you will have private access to Heated Pool, Sauna, Gym and Playroom

Other things to note
Welcome gift in offer for minimum stay of 7 days :)

We have a well behaved Old English Sheepdog which lives with us.

Location

Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

The Perigord region is steeped in history dating back to the discovery of Cro-Magnon man. There are many prehistoric caves (grotes) open to the public. The famous Lascaux cave is just 11km from us. Le Thot, Grotte de Tourtoirac, Grotte du Grand Roc, dwelling villages like Le Roque Saint Christophe or La Madeleleine, old abbeys like Saint Amand de Coly. All these are within easy short drive.
There are many chateaux, most of them come with splendid gardens – Hautefort for example, Chateau de Losse, Chateau de Sauveboeuf, Chateau de Castelnaud and Chateau des Milandes once the home of the famous Josephine Baker. There are also many museums, theme parks, animal farms and gardens such as Les Jardins de l’immaginaire or Les Jardins du Manoir d’Eyrignac, lots to keep your days busy if you so choose.
You can enjoy visiting the villages and towns themselves with their beautiful ancient and sometimes medieval architecture, Sarlat is a fine example. Also, within a short drive, are Montignac, Terrasson or Saint Leon sur Vezere. A little further is the central market town of Perigueux with cute little streets and shops in the old part of town.
From sport activities the most known is probably canoeing and boat trips, but there are also horse riding, biking, hiking, fishing, golf, paintball, tennis and many others.
