What a privilege to stay in a house like Patsie's in Nayland. A deep sense of history both in the house and the village. A wonderful collection of books, artistic inspiration and hints of exotic journeys. This was one of the highlights of a very special weekend padding from Sudbury to the Sea with the Stour River Trust.

Had a great stay at Patsies place, very interesting house with loads of character. Patsie was very relaxed about check in/out times and mades us feel at home in the 'guest wing' of her house. Would stay again

Patsy is an extremely nice and open person with a lot of energy. If you are interested, she has a lot of stories to tell. Having had a long journey Patsy cordially invited us for tea and cake to relax and we had several great talks with her and her friends. The rooms are on top of the old Nayland post office, an old charming building with character in a quiet surrounding. The cozy little bedroom lies apart from the road, therefore very quiet and does not heat up during hot summer days. The bed was very comfortable with a good mattress and a big set of cushions. The spacy bathroom contains a modern shower cabinet. There is also a large living room with a comfortable couch, a TV set and a dining table, where we had our breakfast. Patsy provided everything we needed for a nice breakfast and even offered us to use the swimming pool in the garden. Patsy is a great collector, both of antiques and curiosities. House and garden are full of interesting things, nicely arranged and decorated. We could not stop looking. House and garden have an unique atmosphere partly as being in a fairy tale. We really enjoyed our stay with Patsy and will definitely come again.
