This was a very pleasant experience. Our first with Airbnb. Can't say enough good things about Rick and Dunn, oh and Gabby the German Shepherd. The place was so inviting and clean. It is amazingly priced and we were there for the Lone Star Rally in which 99.9 percent of the hotels etc., price gouge, but not Rick. The prices were the same as any other day of the year. Rick was there to meet us and show us the room. Just not enough room to write how great this was. Already planning on another round there in the near future. Thanks to everyone.

We felt welcome from the first time we contacted Rick about a room. When we arrived he shared the homes history & showed us all around. There were drinks available & the bath & bed linens were plush. We were only a step away from all the action of the Strand. He recommended restaurants near by that were great. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we will.

Beautiful house in a beautiful, historic neighborhood. Rick and Dunne were friendly and helpful with recommendations on where to go. We'd definitely stay there again!

One of my very favorite places in Galveston is Schaefer Haus. Rick was welcoming and Dunne was an outstanding host. He provided us with dining information close by and prepared awesome Mimosas.

My husband and I stayed two nights for a wedding in Galevston. The house sits right in the heart of the historic district with beautiful architecture and historic markers all around. Easy walking distant to the Strand, restaurants and shops. The house is gorgeous! We loved our spacious room, king bed, private bath and balcony complete with rocking chairs. Also a big bonus was being able to bring our dog, who went to the ocean for the first time. A day or two after we arrived home, we received a sweet thank you card in the mail. Highly recommend!

Charming Victorian house in a great location. Nice touches throughout, including mimosas in the morning (and wine / bourbon in the evening). Hosts were very hospitable, aiming to make our stay as good as possible. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night.
