Sunrise Cottage part of the 'Mont du Soleil' Estate, located in Emerald on 40 acres, in the heart of the beautiful Dandenongs. A truly unique property inspired by the buildings & grounds of Provence & Tuscany.

You’ll love the unique design & ambience of the property, the stunning views, peace and tranquility; yet less than an hour by car from Melbourne CBD.

The space
Sunrise Cottage is a self-contained cottage with a private terrace, sitting high on a hill providing breathtaking views of the Yarra Valley & Warburton Ranges, plus panoramic views of the estate. Given the current situation you can be assured we give appropriate attention to the cleaning of the Cottage. As the Cottage is located on a 40 acre property there is plenty of space to go exploring completely on your own.
The property also features a fern-lined creek and outstanding remnant bush-land, including bountiful bird-life and beautiful Mountain Ash trees.
Visitors always comment on the amazing ambience of the property, unique architecture combined with outstanding scenery and views.
As well as the abundant bird life (parrot's, corella's etc); there are domesticated animals on the property, (horses, alpacas, sheep, geese and cattle).

Guest access
You can wander around the property but please do not enter paddocks that have livestock (cattle, horses etc)

Other things to note
We provide "light" breakfast ingredients i.e. range of cereals, fresh bread and jam, lite (low fat) milk and beverages: tea, coffee and chocolate.
Kitchen has two induction cook-tops, combo microwave/oven, rice cooker, fridge; plus a wide range of cooking utensils.
Please note the Cottage is available for a maximum of 2 adults only.

Neighbourhood highlights

Sunrise Cottage at Mont du Soleil is less than an hour from Melbourne CBD and can be accessed via the Monash and Eastern freeways. The 40-acre (16Ha) property is centrally located on a sealed road, midway between the townships of Emerald, Monbulk and Kallista. Excellent supermarkets and shops are located in Emerald and Monbulk (10 mins by car).

Sunrise Cottage is located in the heart of the area known as the Dandenongs, renowned for it's beautiful scenery and pretty townships.

There are many things to do in the area including wineries, cafes, restaurants and beautiful gardens. In Belgrave there is the Cameo Cinema complex , much loved by locals, (15 minutes away), containing in part an original "art deco" cinema. An excellent train service to Melbourne also operates from Belgrave (less than an hour to city).

Puffing Billy historic steam train line operates from Emerald, be sure to book ahead.

There are also National Parks to visit and numerous walks/bike trails to go on. In fact one walking trail is located literally 40 metres from your cottage (adjoins estate boundary). Details of walks are provided in your cottage.

Dandenong Ranges National Park is only 15 mins away by car.
