Stylish green design (passive solar, living roof) apartment/studio. Satellite TV, wireless internet, hot tub. 1000 sq. ft. art/music studio, drums, PA available, recording capability, loft, galley kitchen. Centrally located in wine country between Cayuga and Seneca Lake Wine Trails. Also halfway between Taughanook and Treman State Parks (waterfalls).

The space
Make your visit to Ithaca extra special with a stay at a future artist/musician retreat. 6 miles outside of town on 6 gorgeous acres overlooking a pond and 120 more acres of rolling farmland.
Comfortable modern "dwell" like living quarters with cork floors, radiant heat, and surround sound system.
Spacious studio and loft ready for your creative endeavors or just to enjoy a beautifully crafted unique space. The studio is equipped for a serious artist or musician to work on a quick project (longer stays available next year).
A hot tub (2 person size) awaits under the stars. The hot tub has been moved to a location between The Studio and a 2nd rental (The Farmhouse (see other listing)), but can be reserved as private during your stay on a first reserved basis.
The dream of being an artist/musician retreat is still alive, but not completely realized at this point. In this transitional stage it is a great spot for anyone to have a peaceful getaway , enjoy wine country, revisit school friends, or enjoy any of Ithaca's many treats while staying in a very unique and creative setting. This is not a cabin in the woods type of retreat though.
There is a farmhouse that was built starting in around 1810 housing the caretaker (me at present), or other guests. There is a good feeling of privacy between the 2 units, each with private outdoor areas and their own different views.
There is a barn in the process of becoming a glass casting studio, and then of course the highlight; your 1500 sq. ft. dream live /work studio. Privacy is at a premium here and guests are left on there own after a brief orientation to the space.

I'm a sculptor/designer/investor in the slow process of creating an artist and musician's retreat in a beautiful spot just outside of Ithaca NY. I'm really enjoying hosting all sorts of people, though creative people tend to tune in more to what my place has to offer. I'm just as excited about music (both playing and seeing live shows) as art these days, as I'm presently focussed on developing as a drummer even though most of my life has been spent dealing with the visual arts in many mediums and ways. I'm also getting back to enjoying the necessity of travel after life kept it away from me for a decade. I'm hoping to go back to France and other parts of Europe for the second year in a row this winter for inspiration and artwork.
