Where you’ll be

La Habana, Cuba

The Malecon is 10 steps away from the building, it's a place for recreation, relaxation and to do sports. In front of it, there's a coffee shop and different restaurant options nearby. You can go around the city on foot, or on bicitaxi... since it's a safe city, and the best attractions are close to the apartment. If you ant to take a longer ride, there are local "antiques" taxis so you can travel to the past... IT IS REALLY WELL-LOCATED, SINCE IT IS IN DOWNTOWN HAVANA, AND FROM THERE, YOU CAN GO ON FOOT TO OLD HAVANA, HERE YOU CAN VISIT PLACE OF INTERESTS LIKE FLORIDITA (THE BIRTHPLACE OF DAIQUIRIS, IT WAS VISITED BY ERNEST HEMINGWAY IN THE PAST), THE BODEGUITA DEL MEDIO, THE BEAUTIFUL PLAZA DE LA CATEDRAL, PLAZA VIEJA (WHERE YOU CAN ENJOY EXCELLENT CUBAN MUSIC AND FOOD), THE MALECON WALKWAYS, THE HARBOR AVENUE, AND MANY OTHER INTERESTING THINGS.
When you walk along the Malecon you will find some restaurants only a few meters away, to the right, you will find Castropol restaurant, and ahead you will find a Russian restaurant.
If you go to the left, you will find Ana's buffet, where you can have lunch or dinner for $10. Havana is full of history, and today this fascinating history awaits and magnetize travelers from all over the world, and attracts them to see the cobbled streets of Old Havana , the historic forts, museums, legendary restaurants, and lively public squares.
This is a city made for taking a stroll.
For example, considered by many to be the most beautiful street in Havana, the tree-lined Paseo del Prado bordering Old Havana, deserves a leisurely stroll.
Highlights include Hotel Sevilla, the home of Dr Carlos J Finlay (the man who discovered that mosquitoes spread yellow fever, and Havana's most famous wedding chapel
Old Havana with its Elegant Neoclassical and Baroque buildings... narrow streets.. the magnificent San Cristobal Cathedral; the stout Castillo de la Real Fuerza and one of the most popular public squares, Plaza Vieja, with restaurants where you can listen and dance live Cuban music.
The marvelous Palacio de los Capitanes, the tower of the Camera Obscura, La Bodeguita del Medio, and Floridita restaurant (where Hemingway once dinned...)
The beautiful El Capitolio that looks exactly like the one in Washington, D.C. and one of the world's largest opera houses: the "Gran teatro de la Habana", facing the Central Park
We also have the Malecon.
Havana's famous seafront boulevard runs about 7 kilometers from Old Havana to El Vedado, where you should stop by the historic Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a World Heritage Site and National Monument with a long list of famous and glamorous former guests.
