Marina, our first bad review is disheartening....I gave your group the benefit of the doubt, realizing you're young and probably not experienced in traveling....& chose not to review you (regretfully).
You are correct...Our house is not new; it did have a crack in the brand new window (factory issue); our ad does not claim there is a dishwasher; there is a drying mat that you didn't bother to take out of the drawer and use; and the coffee maker is a Keurig, which many guests prefer.
Up until your group, every guest so far has been able to open a lockbox and have not had any issues in locking doors. I'm sorry you had a hard time with it. My husband did willingly leave our company party to come assist with the lockbox, making sure you could get in & we answered the phone to walk you through how to lock the bedroom door when you couldn't figure that out. Then...When you called at 11pm, we did get out of bed to come help you turn on the heater. I'm sorry if my husband wasn't super cheery at that point... & I'm sorry you did not enjoy your time here.
That said, we considered reporting your group (and charging) because you damaged our recently refinished hardwood floors in TWO rooms (we have pictures), moving the trundle bed from one room to another. Also, it took more than 45 minutes to clean the melted cheese black MESS in our oven...the pizza boxes in the trash tell me frozen pizza went really wrong (also have photos).
We really felt equally disrespected by your group ... but thanks to that experience, we have made sure to talk to our upcoming "adult" kids about respect and resourcefulness in traveling adventures... and to NEVER leave a place in that condition EVER!!
