'Martini' (named after a cross-country ski race), is a 1964-built private, quiet - granny flat, adjacent to our house in Jindabyne NSW.

The unit has one bedroom, with kitchenette with fridge and an ensuite, all freshly revamped this summer.

The decor is hip/retro 1960s and most of the decor is of the era. The unit has one double bed and one single, therefore sleeps up to three people.

The unit is light and airy all summer, yet cosy and warm in the cooler months, due to the morning sun.

The space
Jindabyne is a stunning town, nestled at foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Sleepy and quiet eight months a year, it becomes a focus during winter as the ski season kicks-in and the ski resorts open. During summer it is surrounded by mountain biking trails, hundreds of kilometres of quiet roads for road-cycling and of-course Lake Jindabyne.

Jindabyne is 5 hours drive South of Sydney and 2 hours South of Canberra.

Jindabyne, New South Wales, Australia

The old township of Jindabyne was flooded in 1964 as part of the 'Snowy Mountains Scheme' (It still lies undisturbed under the waters today) . The 'New' township Including shops and houses was build for workers, and residents, by the Snowy Mountains Authority, and Martini is part of that fascinating mid-century Heritage.
