Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
This home is close to Duke University and Medical Center (3.5 miles), Duke Regional Hospital (1.5 miles) , I-85 (1.5 miles), RTP or RDU Airport(15 miles), I-40 (9 miles), Northgate Mall (2 miles) Downtown Durham (4 miles) and Southpoint Mall (15 miles). You’ll love the home because of the coziness, convenient location, quiet neighborhood, large property/fenced yard, private drive. It's great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

The space
This home, on the 1/2 acre wooded property, is spacious and has been slightly upgraded recently in the bedroom, bath and hallway areas with new laminated flooring and mouldings and freshly painted. The fireplace is a true wood burning fireplace, with enough wood provided for your first night, so you may have a fire immediately upon arrival, for that cozy atmosphere on chilly nights or days. You have control of the Heating and A/C settings and a large hot water heater to help prevent hot water shortage. The fenced back yard is great for Pet protection and privacy and motion activated lighting. The attached single car garage offers protection during inclement weather. The private driveway offers ample parking for multiple vehicles.
In master bedroom there is a king bed. There a bedroom with a daybed with trundle in one room that can be rolled away to create 2 separate singles or made into king and is comfortable in either configuration . There is another bedroom with 2 twins. The Couch listed in Common Spaces is actually a Single Daybed in the Study and does not refer the Chaise Lounge Sofa in the Living Room.
The Fireplace is a 90 degree wrap around, facing the Living Room and the Dining Room/Kitchen, with closing doors on each of the two sides. It also has a wrap around and raised (12 inches) Brick Hearth with a corner and requires protective attention for kids.

Where you’ll be

Durham, North Carolina, United States

This neighborhood has been around since the early 50's and most homes have been upgraded or completely renovated so has attracted several new families, but still have long time residents, with 75% of the homes occupied by owners . It is a closed neighborhood design so it is not used as a pass through neighborhood, making it safer and quieter than most neighborhoods that are connected to the same main thoroughfare. Neighbors walk with their dogs and kids daily and nightly. I live at the head of the neighborhood on the main thoroughfare and walk my dogs through the neighborhood daily as well. There is also great street lighting for night walking. There are 1.5 miles of streets in the neighborhood. A city park is a 1/2 mile away with Lighted Tennis Courts, a softball field and a modern child's playground.

I am a stylist for a LA based company, and also a manicurist. I love both of my jobs, and love connecting with people. I have time shares, and yea, they are nice and you know what to expect, but with airbnb you really get to feel the ambience of the place you are staying. I always want to move to places I visit , as my husband says, and AirBnB makes me feel kind of like I did. I have 2 adorable Huskies who are like my chidren and they are very well behaved and I love that I can find a place that they can come to with me. Airbnb is very special and affordable, and I love every experience.
