Swallows Nest is situated in the countryside, with views up to Caradon Hill, you can see the old Phoenix Tin Mine from the lounge window, now derelict, but worth a visit!

It is easy to get to both the North, and South coast from Swallows Nest, giving you access to many of Cornwall's beaches and lovely little ports.

Further afield are the lovely National Trust houses of Lanhydrock House, and Cotehele. The Eden Project is just over 20 miles away.

The cottage has wifi, TV with Netflix & Sky.

The space
** The Cottage **

We converted if from a dilapidated cowshed to a comfortable 1 bedroom en suite holiday home.

The bedroom has a 5’ bed, with duvet, quality cotton bedding, good quality pillows, bedside tables, fitted wardrobe, place for suitcase, hairdryer, and TV with Netflix.

The bathroom has a spa bath with over bath shower.

The lounge area has a 2-seater leather sofa, coffee table, TV with Netflix & Sky, and DVD player together with local free leaflet packs, maps and guides, and local history books. If you feel you need to keep in touch with the world, Wi-Fi is free.

The dining table is just inside the glazed door giving access onto the garden area.

The galley kitchen area has full cooker, 2 ring induction hob, microwave, and sink. There is a fridge/freezer a washer/dryer, and a toaster.

The garden has a gravel patio area with table and chairs, sun canopy, a grass lawn with relaxing chairs for those long summer evenings with a Gin & Tonic! shrubbery screening, and views looking onto the fields, and up to Bodmin Moor.

Guest access
There is a key safe on the front door to gain access to the key, if we should not be in ( code will be available when you book.)
You have your own front, and back door.
You will have sole use of your own private garden area, and your own parking alongside the building.

Other things to note
My husband Phil and I are the owners, and live in the barn opposite, in a quiet lane between the villages of Rilla Mill, and Upton Cross, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The south facing enclosed private garden at the rear offers views of Caradon Hill, Minions, and Sharp Tor.

When it's dark here its really dark! A walk to the local pub, The Manor House will require a torch to get you home (there is one in the cottage), but on a clear night the stars will blow your mind!

Minions, about 2 miles away has lovely walks over the moors, you will be able to see the granite Tor "The Cheesewring".
There are many National Trust properties around Cornwall, and are all within a day trip away from Swallows Nest.
Launceston with its 11th century castle, and 15th century church are well worth visiting.
The North coast offers Padstow, Bude and Tintagel, and the South coast Looe, Polperro and Fowey.
Sterts Theatre is about 2 miles away.
There are 150 miles of the South West coast path to explore as well! While sunshine can’t always be guaranteed, we guarantee you will have lots to see and do.

Having lived in the Cornwall County for 35 years I have been able to witness the ever changing landscapes and untamed beauty of the Cornish Coast. Having retired a few years ago it was an ambition of mine to be able to share the views that I have become so fond of over the time I have called Cornwall home and want to ensure my guests experience the same level of relaxation & spectacular sights in a place that truly feels like a home away from home.
