The space
Yango Park House, your “Mansion in the Mountains”, once known as a grand old dame, Yango Park House still holds onto that feeling. It’s a solid sandstone colonial homestead, sitting quietly on 40 acres of bushland.
It's a little 1980s inside but full of character. Think high ceilings, a classic colonial fireplace, and stained-glass windows.
Inside, it’s simple, with a slightly nostalgic edge, just as you see in the photos. The house runs entirely on *solar*, so things are kept simple and in tune with the surroundings.
There’s a fully equipped kitchen for relaxed breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, plus a large undercover BBQ area.
There is a pool table and a ping pong table for great family game time. There’s also a tennis court, bushwalks to explore, and a sauna for Winter use.
*There are 4 bedrooms downstairs sleeping 8 people, with three queen beds and one double bed. If more accommodation is needed message us and we can prepare an extra beds for you however know it would be in the house's loft bedroom which is poorly insulated currently. See pictures for bedroom #5 (loft/attic). **Please book per person staying to reflect the actual charge. **
Note: We live down the road so we are around if needed but otherwise, you’ll have the place to yourselves.
*Please be mindful of noise/loud music at night as sound travels and we can hear it.
*Please we mindful of our “off-grid” system at night.
*Please drive carefully along the roads as our neighbours ride their horses regularly.
There is no Wi-Fi or proper mobile reception here, but Telstra reception can often be accessed near the BBQ, and Optus on the right end of the tennis court; however, internet access is not 100% reliable.
