Katoomba Green Gables is a quaint 1920s Blue Mountains cottage in South Katoomba just 5 minutes walk from Katoomba Street. "So close to everything!".
It is ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac with a real mountains feel, leafy area vistas toward Catalina Park Nature Reserve, and a gorgeous mountains garden.
Being so centrally located, it provides easy access to the many Tourist Sites and Bushwalks, plus The Carrington Hotel and many cafes, restaurants and shops, and live music venues. Wifi.

The space
Katoomba Green Gables can be your romantic getaway, a young family holiday, a friends get-together, or couples sharing fun. You can sleep up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms each with queen-sized beds and 1 double sofa-bed in the second living room.

The house offers a light-bathed interior, and has the atmosphere of its original features combined with its many modern conveniences.

Katoomba Green Gables is the place to relax and enjoy the fresh mountains air. You may choose to snuggle up in the cosy warmth after a day of bushwalking or sightseeing, or unwind with a glass of wine.

HOUSE FACILITIES OPERATION
•Please take the time to read our House Facilities Operation Manual which is kept on the kitchen benchtop under the microwave. Here you will find operational instructions for the gas log fire, central heating, oven etc. & details on where the iron, hair dryer, etc are stored.

HOUSE RULES

•SMOKING is not permitted.

•External Lighting
Could you please switch off External Lighting after use to get into and out of the house at night, to prevent upsetting neighbours.

•Window Blinds
On each window blind, there is a sash cord/pulley on the side – please use these cord winders to open & close the blinds.

ON DEPARTURE:
•Please ensure all electric blankets & central heating are turned OFF & all lights etc.
•Please leave the gas heater wall switch (powerpoint) is left ON.
•Please lock the rear sliding door.
•Please bolt the rear sliding door and lock the keylock leaving the key in the lock.
•Please lock the rear kitchen door and leave the key in the lock.
•Make sure all windows are CLOSED and locked & window locks keys are in the window locks.
•Please check to make sure you have all your belongings when you depart.
•After locking the front door please return the 2 front door keys to key safe (press the same code again to open) & relock the key safe again, making sure it is properly shut and locked.

Our house is just 5 minutes walk from the main supermarkets and Katoomba Street (the main street), and 10 minutes walk from the train station, so it is near the heart of all Katoomba activities.
Go to the famous Tourist Sites like Echo Point & The Three Sisters, or Scenic World.
Jump on the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus for a tour of Leura, Katoomba, and Wentworth Falls, or take a Trolley Tours Bus instead.
Take Cocktails at the Carrington in front of their magnificent hearth.
Enjoy the food at the many wonderful restaurants in a range of prices and cuisines.
Catch some rock/jazz/folk/hip hop/world music at The Old Bank Brasserie, Hotel Blue, The Station Bar, Gearin Hotel and more.
Bushwalk up and back to Mt Solitary (whole day!), or choose a shorter walk.
Sip some High Tea at the Hydro Majestic at Medlow Bath.
Walk to Catalina Park and Aquatic Centre.

We love Katoomba and the Blue Mountains. It's quiet, pretty, great food and music venues, great views and fabulous bushwalks through virgin National Park bushland. We have native birds feeding in our garden - honeyeaters, parrots etc.
