The Loft is located on the top floor of an architecturally designed rammed earth building completely seperate and privately located from the main house and offers comfort with king size bed, quality bed linen, tea and coffee facilities and views of the natural bush below.

The space
The Loft has a beautiful relaxing feel, the room is spacious and the tranquil view of the gum trees through the picture window is wonderful. If you are lucky you can watch the Wallabies feed from the room as you can see in the pictures which were taken from the bedroom windows. There is a large amount of bird life in the area from Wedge Tailed Eagles, Black and White Cockatoos, Kookaburras, Rosellas, King Parrots and a vast array of small Finches and Nectar eating birds.

There are no cooking facilities but if a weekend away from all that is what you are after there are many great restaurants and takeaway places, or perhaps put a platter together and enjoy with a glass of wine on the deck or in your apartment. Tea and coffee facilities are provided as well as a glass of port on us.

Guest access
Guests can wander around the property as they please and are welcome to relax on the deck.

Location

Cockatoo, Victoria, Australia

Cockatoo is a lovely quite town and we are located in an area surrounded by acreage so it is very private and peaceful.

Cockatoo can be a great base from which to explore the surrounding towns, great restaurants and winery's.

I grew up living by the beach in Brighton a bayside suburb in Melbourne. I moved to the beautiful Hills town of Cockatoo with my partner, three dogs and a cat four years ago. Our place is a unique mud brick home nestled on sixteen acres of private bush. I love good food, entertaining, decorating and of course animals. When I have time I frequently visit the beach and friends and family who live there. I have three Airbnb properties, two at my home in Cockatoo for those who want to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet and country fresh air, both of are completely separate from each other and the main house so your assured privacy. Then I have a two bedroom apartment in the heart of vibrant St Kilda within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, parks and the cake shops Acland St is famous for. If you need to go into the city it is only a 20 minute tram ride from almost outside your front door.
