Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, it’s your escape to one of Australia’s most breathtaking beach locations. Nestled in the pristine coastline of the world famous Bay of Fires this waterfront escape is a place where time slows and life is simple. A playground of the black cockatoo and abundant wildlife, it’s a mere 180 steps to the lichen covered rocks, pure white sand and azure waters. Here you will soak in the sun on the deck, spend nights by the fire and dream in between.

The space
Slow Burn is an original 1960s beach shack. Shacks of the era were built from materials that were available at the time. We have endeavored to retain the authenticity of the shack whilst giving it a dark and moody update which frames the incredible bay of fires view from inside.

Enter into the updated kitchen which has all the modern conveniences including a smeg oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, some basic pantry items and filtered drinking water. The bathroom and toilet with their original fittings have been given a new look with paint and decor. You may prefer a long soak in the outdoor bath tub overlooking the moonlit bay of fires.

As with shacks of the era, Slow Burn has a cosy living and dining space with a corner bench seat and round dining table overlooking the ocean view, a couple of sofas and a swivel chair in easy reach of the wood heater and a smart TV complete the living area.

Three bedrooms are positioned off the living area, two with queen beds and one double. The main bedroom has a door opening onto the front deck which allows you to drift off to the deep calm of the waves breaking on the beach outside. One queen bedroom is accessed off the back deck, you are able to select which bedrooms to use during your stay.

Slow Burn invites you to connect with the outdoors through use of the front and rear decks, the outdoor bathing space and several outdoor fire options. The Slow Burn story is one of escape and connection, where you can rediscover the joy of slowing down. Every sunrise, barefoot mornings, golden evenings and the sound of the ocean in your dreams adds to the story.
