Mary is wonderful and made sure we were all ok. Her brown bread is amazing. We hope to come back again and visit. Lighthouse view is in an amazing spot, we had great fun getting there in the dark, but what a view when we woke up the next morning.

Beautiful scenery all around this house. Amazing views. Lovely quiet area with plenty of great walks. Pub and shop at a handy distance. House is really well set up with lots of space. (Could easily put up 6 single people or up to 9 if there were couples.) Mary was very helpful and even left us with a freshly baked loaf of brown bread. Great place to stay and great value.

We found the perfect Cottage ever. Sea view, seals to observe, wild atlantic coast, perfectly furnished house with genuine Irish atmosphere and all you need. We loved the evenings sitting by the fire place in the living room and we enjoyed having breakfast in the sun sitting on the terrace with sea, lighthouse and seal view. We felt like at home... it was a pity to depart. Mary, the Grandma host which lives next door (the only house you can see), is so lovely... we felt like best friends up from the first moment. She was so helpful, made a fine diner for us, baked the best brown bread... She is so warm and lovely... we miss her! We are sure, we will return. Thanks for the opportunity to stay at this special place of the world. For people like us, who really want to experience Ireland in its wildness, it is the very best!

This is a gorgeous house with scenic views over the Lettermullen & Lettermore islands and bays. You can see the Galway mountains, the famous Aran islands, and if you're lucky, seals playing in the bay. It's a secluded spot up a small boreen (Irish for small road), but well worth the views. Mary Berry - your neighbour while there - is the loveliest, gentlest person and really enjoys meeting new people and giving them tips on the area (and if you're lucky, fresh bread). We were down for a sad occasion and didn't do much sightseeing, but Dinish island and strands are gorgeous, as are the views from Lettermullen church. Go to Carraroe for pharmacy supplies, cafes and food, and local pubs like Plunketts and Tigh Lee's for old pictures of the area and memorabilia.
