The space

Beautifully appointed retreat on one acre of land that is surrounded by a delightful garden, bordering the Hepburn Regional Park.

Welcome to our peaceful Hepburn retreat. We hope you have a wonderful and relaxing time here.

Our cottage has been recently renovated and has all the modern conveniences while retaining a real country charm. Located just 2 minutes walk from the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa, our cottage sits on 1 acre of beautiful natural gardens. There is an abundance of visiting wildlfe, including kookaburras, rosellas and a friendly echidna who like to bath in the birdbath.

The cottage is fully air conditioned for those warm summer days and has a Ned Kelly open fireplace to keep you warm and toasty in the rather chilly winter nights. The bedroom also has its own air conditioning unit so you can be assured of a comfortable nights sleep all year round.

Our cottage has an open plan kitchen, dining, living room, and wrap around decks. The dining table is the heart of the house and a great place to enjoy coffee, conversation and a glass or two of wine. The view from the sheltered decks over the gardens is a great place to while away an afternoon.

The lounge has very comfortable leather couches and provides a perfect environment to read, relax, watch a movie or cuddle up by the fire. The space is filled with natural light and a great space for entertaining.

The sleeping arrangements are very flexible. The cottage comfortably sleeps 2 couples, or a small group of friends.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed and a beautiful ensuite bathroom including a claw-foot bath with views out over the valley. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, its own ensuite, and is located in a separate studio with gorgeous bush views.

The kitchen is fully appointed with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and coffee machine.

The cottage also has ample parking to accommodate guests and visitors.

We are happy for you to bring your dog or cat but we do ask that you bring their bed with them and that they not sleep in the bedrooms.

Guest access

You will have access to the full house and gardens and when 4 guests are staying you will also have access to the detached studio

Interaction with guests

We will be on the end of a phone, but not on site. We have great neighbours and friends nearby if there is an emergency so rest assured you will be well looked after, but also have your own privacy.

Other things to note

We do not charge for cleaning the house and you are most welcome to bring your pets to share your stay. We are happy to share the cottage for 1 night stays, however we do have a two night minimum over public holiday weekends.

Andrew and David were such good hosts. We loved our stay. Beautiful and cosy home, and very comfortable. A short walk to Hepburn Springs main sites. Dress warmly as it can get quite cold in the house at night until the heater gets going. The bottle of wine was a nice touch :)

This house is absolutely amazing! Location, cleanliness and the thoughtfulness found throughout the house (down to spare toothbrushes) didn't go unnoticed. This is a home away from home, no need to bring anything else besides yourself, your loved ones and clothing! Andrew one of the hosts was welcoming and kind - I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you Andrew & David!

Our weekend away was more than we expected, we were initially attracted to the property on Air b&b due to its close proximity to the Hepburn Springs facility. Pulling up the drive way was like arriving in another world, surrounded by trees & garden scattered with rusted iron ornaments intentionally placed we were excited to go exploring..Communication between myself & the owners was faultless from directions to the detailed house manual with lots of very helpful tips to maximise our stay. The welcoming gestures on the part of the owners were greatly appreciated. The house was very comfortable & modern, with all details considered from phone chargers in bedroom & studio, comfortable linen & beds with electric blankets. We went for a drive to Kyneton & ate at a restaurant called Ruby's which had a great atmosphere & menu well worth the drive. We cannot fault our stay, if you are reading this don't hesitate to book you won't be disappointed.

This is a very beautiful house, the best among all our stays this round. Everything is sparkling clean and of superb condition. Location is very near to the natural reserve, best for hiking in the forest to find the springs. We booked both the main house and the studio and both were very comfortable. The bed is especially comfy. There are beautiful birds that comes every evening, including 2 kookaburras. It's really nice to watch them. When it gets dark, you can see many many stars in the sky. Indeed a lovely place to stay.
