Wonderful, central place to explore Constable Country-rented a canoe at the historic Boathouse Restaurant. Patsie made us feel so welcome and suggested local places of interest.

We were delighted with our first impressions of Patsie`s bohemian house and lovely garden. Inside is spacious and comfortably furnished with an open fire (it was a chilly day), full of fascinating objects chosen with an artist`s eye. The bedroom was large, the bed very large and comfortable. I slept through any early morning noise of the post office below but my husband was awakened by it. The bathroom was across the the landing and down a few steps. It had a bath which pleased us. It was like a family bathroom rather than smart hotel room. All linen and towels were good and fresh. All the ingredients of the breakfast were good quality and the scrambled eggs excellent. Patsie made no difficulty of muddy boots, some complicated luggage arrangements we had and generously let us use her kitchen to heat up some supper. Nayland is a a lovely village and Patsie`s house is by the church in the ancient centre.

We had a lovely night's stay at Patsie’s place as we canoed down the River Stour. It was easy to find, and though she wasn't able to be there to let us in, access was easy, she kept in contact, making sure we would have no problems. We were comfortable and settled quickly - there was lots of room for the canoe in the garden, and had a nice evening in the local pub before a good night's sleep. Thanks!

From the moment I paid for the room, Patsie informed me about her home. She came out to meet us and her earth immediately made my friend and I feel welcome and at home. Patsie's house is beautiful, quaint and almost like a museum of trinkets that are amazing to view. We had a separate door to our room and had our own bathroom. The bedroom was huge as was the bed. Patsie is a lovely host who will give you space to enjoy her home but also on hand to ensure you are happy and comfortable. We'd happily go again. Thanks again Patsie xx
