The space
A self-contained residence within a restored medieval building. This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home provides plenty of space and privacy, including a private courtyard and garden.

The interior includes full air conditioning, bathrooms with underfloor heating, a traditional fireplace, and a study space.

Please note: The swimming pool is open from May 1st to September 30th. In addition to the pool, Appartamento Monache offers two features rarely found in the centro storico: private on-site parking and a large garden.

Guests have access to a fully self-contained 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with its own street-level entrance (Corso delle Monache), courtyard, and on-site parking. For 2026 only, guests can also enjoy the large swimming pool — the only pool located within the historic centre — a rare and special feature in a historic town in Tuscany.

The property's lift provides convenient access to the apartment for luggage or heavy items. Please note that the historic town streets include some steps, so the apartment is best suited for guests able to manage a few stairs.

I am a designer based in Sydney, Australia who has just completed the extensive restoration and furnishing of this beautiful property in Lucignano, which is now available for holiday rental. Lucignano is a very friendly town of about 1000 inhabitants situated in central Tuscany with easy access to many of the attractions of the region.
