We stayed at Bassam's accomodation for two nights, because we needed to wait for thursday ferry to Ukulhas (Great island! If you are at the maldives don't stay at Malé! Explore some small islands, it's paradise on earth).
The welcoming was very kind. We got fresh towels and orange juice while our luggage was taken from the aiport shuttle. Unfortunately they forgot my jacket. I noticed that not until we were in our room. When I told the story at the reception they said that they'll call the driver and then call me back, but they didn't. I had to run to the receptions five times, but noone gave me the feeling to care about my problem. After leaving Hulumalé I texted Bassam (he wasn't there for the two days) and he said that he tried everything, but couldn't find my jacket. Nevermind the jacket got lost, but I didn't have the feeling that the hotel staff would care about this problem.
Nevertheless the location is really great. You can see the ocean from the balcony and the hotel is just seperated from the beach by a small street. But pay attention: it's not a bikini beach and women have to wear covering clothes. A tourist beach is a 10min walk away but there it's really hard to get into the ocean. Many corals and stones are there.
Breakfast is included. It's good but nothing special. You can also eat all other meals at the restaurant and even at the beach. All the waiters are really friendly.
The room is clean, but not as luxury as in the pictures and description. The wifi also doesn't really work inside the room.
Before travelling to Ukulhas we had to take the ferry to Malé. One day before our check-out I asked for a taxi at the reception and they arranged everything, also the early breakfast. The breakfast was there but the taxi didn't come. After 20 minutes an employee drove us to the ferry. I wasn't that pleased, that I had to pay for that. After everything that happened I thought they would gladly help out two guests in an emergency. A three minutes ride to the ferry could also be understood as a service.
