Wake up to beauty of Dutch Bay. Trinco House is a private sea-view apartment, designed for guests who want real rest, open balconies, two king ensuite bedrooms, daily breakfast, and Starlink WiFi. Whether you're a couple looking to disappear for a week or a family of four ready to explore Sri Lanka's east coast, this is your base. With easy access to beaches, dolphin/whale watching, Sigiriya, and elephant safaris. The villa is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.
The space
Trinco House is a quiet, private flat designed around one idea: genuine rest. The interiors draw warmly on Sri Lankan character, natural textures, considered details, wrapped in the cool comfort of modern air conditioning and high-speed Starlink WiFi.
The second floor is the heart of the house. The king bedroom opens directly onto Dutch Bay through wide windows and a private balcony, so the ocean is the first thing you see each morning. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and their own closet space, and the second floor also features a dedicated workspace for those who need to stay connected between adventures.
Downstairs, the first floor has its own king suite, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a living room, plus a balcony of its own.
The apartment is exclusively yours. Arriving as a couple? One beautiful floor is all you need, take your pick. Coming with family or friends (up to four guests)? Both levels open up, giving your group a full private flat to spread out in.
Every stay includes complimentary breakfast, a daily wash-and-fold laundry service, and a private entrance key, so you come and go entirely on your own terms.
The Neighborhood & Climate
Trincomalee is one of Sri Lanka's most rewarding destinations and one of the least crowded. Unlike the busy south coast, the east coast moves at its own pace, with wide empty beaches, clear water, and a cultural richness that takes most visitors by surprise.
From the villa, you'll find yourself naturally drawn into the rhythm of authentic Trinco life, fishermen heading out at dawn, the bustle of the local market, tuk-tuks weaving through colorful streets, and the gentle sound of temple bells drifting across the bay.
The wider region offers whale and dolphin watching, world-class dive sites, serene lagoons, lush rice fields, and intricately adorned Hindu temples. For day trips, Sigiriya Lion's Rock, elephant safaris, and a string of ancient cultural sites are all within reach.
When to visit: The east coast enjoys nearly eight months of sunshine, from mid-January through to mid-October, some of the most reliable weather on the island. From May to mid-October the sea turns genuinely calm, making it ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and diving right from the shore.
January to March brings a different kind of magic, the sea can be rough depending on the day, but the ocean breeze is spectacular, and the views from the balconies are at their most dramatic. Perfect for those who love the energy of the sea without needing to be in it.
The monsoon season runs from late October to early January, bringing rain and rougher seas, worth keeping in mind when planning your trip.
What's nearby: Step outside Trinco House and you're moments from pristine white-sand beaches and turquoise bays.
This is a part of Sri Lanka that rewards slow travel and Trinco House is designed to match that pace.
Guest access
Trinco House is yours to enjoy freely. You'll be given a key to your own private entrance on arrival, so you can come and go completely at your own pace.
