Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Seaside village with all the basic amenities a couple of minutes drive from the property; supermarket, off license / bottle store, pharmacy, local GP, laundromat. Country restaurants nearby, less than 15 minutes to the city.

Our beautiful bay is home to hundreds of bottlenose dolphin year round, as well as whales in the winter months. Kini Bay swimming gully and sandy beach a couple of minutes walk via your private gate onto the shingle beach. Another 3 unspoiled beaches within 2-15 minute drive.

This part of the coastline is home to an abundance of bird life, fish, otters, whales, and dolphins. Pods of dolphins swimming past are an almost daily occurrence (did you know that Port Elizabeth is the bottlenose dolphin capital of the WORLD?) and a sight not to be missed. In the winter the bay is home to an ever increasing number of migrating Southern Right and Humpback whales, a truly spectacular sight and one that can be enjoyed from every window! The migrating whales are passing right by our homes as part of a 12000km journey, which culminates in them returning with their calves.

Whale watching June - Nov from your window or take a trip out to sea with my cousin Jamie at Raggy Charters and see the whales, dolphin, penguins and other bird and sea life up close and personal. Boats depart from Harbour. 30 min drive.
Raggy Charters operates all year and is ranked number 1 on Trip Advisor for Tours in Port Elizabeth.

Kragga Kamma Game Reserve is only 15 minutes away, gorgeous private reserve with cheetah and rhino as well as all the other favorites, zebra, giraffe, etc

Addo Elephant Park is a 45 minute drive from the house. The most fantastic national park teeming with elephant and other wildlife, including lion. Extremely affordable as Addo is a national park vs privately run reserve.

Pumba and Shamwari private reserves are both about an hour away and are considered amongst South Africa's best reserves.

Maitlands dunes are a must see when visiting PE - climb to the top for you very own selfie. Less than 5 min drive.

Sardinia Bay beach - on a beautiful day you may be mistaken for thinking you are on your own private island. Arguably the Eastern Capes most beautiful beach :)
