Our cozy cabin is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Kabayama Village, very close to the lively Ski Resort of Hirafu.

You’ll love staying at our place away from the hustle of Hirafu and only 500m walk to the closest Mountain shuttle bus. A 1.5km walk to the Aya Niseko, located on Grand Hirafu Resort Slope (Family Ace Pair lifts).

It's great place for couples, friends or small families. We have another two listings available all next door to each other, if travelling in a bigger group.

The space
Our one bedroom cabin is a cozy oasis, your home away from home. Nestled away in the peaceful Kabayama Village with glimpses of Mt Annupuri from the front door. Please note the cabin is not located in Hirafu Village (to access Hirafu Village & the Mountain, you'll have to get the mountain shuttle bus which is 500m walk from the cabin or you can walk into Hirafu Village (1.7km), there is a footpath the whole way.

You can enjoy a home cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen or relax on the couch with a glass of wine after a big day on the mountain.

The entire cabin is 40 sq metres in size. It isn't huge but can comfortably sleep three adults. If you are travelling as a family of four - two adults and two children (under 15 years), an extra futon is available on request, please enquire at time of booking.

The cabin allows for you to have the whole space to yourself & have the convenience of amenities like a kitchen. Each cabin is equipped with two really comfortable semi-double beds (30cm wider than a regular single bed) and a chair that converts into a single bed. The two semi double beds can be pushed together to make one larger bed for couples. Please note that all linen provided is designed for single beds.

The bathroom - wet room (small bath & shower) and a seperate toilet. Please note the only hand wash basin is integrated with the toilet. Fresh water is first used for hand washing and then flows into the cistern to flush the toilet.

Location

Kutchan-cho, Abuta-gun,, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan

It's a quiet neighbourhood only minutes by bus/car from the lively Hirafu Village. There are two great restaurants within walking distance and a lovely cafe/deli, a favourite of ours to grab a coffee and croissant. The bus is only 500 metres from the cabin - Kabayama North (Kita) bus stop and short 1.7km stroll into the Vale and your closest Onsen (hot spring).

The NUS (Niseko United Shuttle) bus, is free with an all mountain lift pass. It is a great service that can get you from each side of the mountain and also into Kutchan.

The closest convenience stores are in Hirafu Seico Mart which has a Hot Chef and lots of great prepackaged meals that you can reheat or eat on the run. Lawsons is another convenience store is a little further down the road but operates 24hrs.

There is also a grocery store in Hirafu (Niseko International Supermarket & Deli) it's located below Shiki Hotel along with an international ATM. It is a little pricey but has a lot of International food and great prepaid meals like Lasagne and Salads etc.

The closest bigger town is Kutchan (30 minutes on the NUS bus) you can visit a Japanese Supermarket (this is always a fun experience), Hospital (has a interpreter available) and Chemist.

In Hirafu there is Niseko Physio if you need to access a Physio during your stay, it is run by an Australian so all staff speak english. They also have massage therapists if you tired body needs a massage after days of riding powder.

Hi there we are Steve, Amy & our son Oscar. We first travelled to Japan in February 2012. We fell in love with the people, the mountains and the food. We absolutely love snowboarding and especially the powder riding that Niseko delivers every season! We managed a Ski Lodge in Niseko for two winters and definitely caught the Niseko bug! We loved it so much we decided it was the perfect destination to get married in March 2016. Now we hope to help others enjoy their stay in Niseko as much as we do.
