Earth Garden Studio is located on a small farm on Gabriola Island (20 minute ferry ride from downtown Nanaimo) specializing in breeding quality heritage poultry and purebred Nigerian dwarf goats. The 5 acre property has a lovely southwest exposure making it sunny and bright. The studio is in a very private rural setting with lots of trees, the air smells fresh and clean. Guest parking is close with easy access to the studio. Relax in a peaceful setting. Fresh bedding and towels provided.
Earth Garden studio is a lovely handcrafted log design with wide plank fir flooring and a vaulted cedar ceiling making the space warm and inviting. High ceilings with windows providing lots of light. Beautiful photographic artwork adorn the walls.
Earth Garden studio is spacious and private. Wood stove with glass front provides a cozy atmosphere. Guests are invited to enjoy drinks or dinner on the large cedar deck ajoining the main house.
Guests have their own access to the studio that is separate from the main house. Facilities with toilet, shower, bathtub are available for guests in the main house that is steps away from the studio.
Guests can use fridge in main house and kitchen upon arrangement.
Guests are encouraged to walk around the 5 acre farm and view and meet all the farm animals. All animals are raised ethically with daily access to fresh water, food and pasture.
Interaction with guests
I can assist guests with any questions they may have about places of interest on Gabriola.
I would be happy to take guests on a Tour of the farm.
Other things to note
Internet and cell phone reception can be challenging on parts of the island. Visitors can get cell and internet connection but may need to plan to check phones/email when visiting Silva Bay area or Village. There is a library on the island that has internet access.
Guests must take off shoes before entering the main house.
Guests should respect neighbours and not make noise after 10pm
I live in a beautiful rural setting with goats, chickens, donkeys. I have an organic garden and grow vegetables that can be found at the local farmers markets.
I would like people to enjoy their stay in a pastoral setting and be entertained by my colourful flock of Nigerian dwarf goats capering around the property.
