I spent the weekend with 6 girlfriends at this beautiful home just relaxing, watching movies, and playing board games. It is located only 3 miles north of the Tillamook Cheese Factory and approx. 10 minutes drive north of the big Fred Meyer grocery store. Great overall layout and tons of parking in front of the garage (garage is not for guest use as far as I know). You enter home on 2nd (main) level which has kitchen, living room (with microfiber sectional and TV with DVD player and Dish network), dining room with large square table with 6 chairs, bathroom with shower, and two queen bedrooms. There is a wraparound deck that wraps around this entire level and huge two-story windows which provide a great view of the Tillamook Bay and Bayocean Spit. The kitchen is well stocked with many pots and pans as well as plates, bowls, cutlery, etc. There is a coffee maker, oven, gas 4 burner stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, dishwasher, and blender. There is also an assortment of spices, cooking oil, etc. for guest use. There was no muffin tin or tin foil that we could find but luckily I brought my own. Upstairs on the 3rd floor is the loft overlooking the living room (the open loft has a sofa and desk in it), a bathroom with shower, and the king bedroom (which is in its own separate enclosed room behind the loft; the room has a door that closes it off from the open part of the loft). Downstairs on the 1st floor is the "game room" with large leather sectional, TV for DVDs only, foosball table, loveseat, and table with 6 chairs. The bathroom on this level has the washer/dryer inside it which take up most of the space but there is a shower (the shower on this level is pretty tiny). Note that there are no bathtubs anywhere in the house. This is also where the "bunk room" is located. The bunk room has 3 single beds and a single over single bunk bed. The bunk bed did not have a mattress of any kind, just a thick pillow top mattress cover type layer, so the person who slept in the bunk said it was very uncomfortable. The 3 single beds were fine and had mattresses. Note that there are no windows in the bunk room and this is also where the gas boiler is located which takes up a big chunk of the room and has a little glowing light on it that can't be turned off (this light disturbed some of the lighter sleepers in our group). Several people expressed concern that there did not appear to be a carbon monoxide detector in the bunk room with the gas boiler (there was what looked like a smoke detector which may have been a combo smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector but they could not tell for sure). We did notice that sound seemed to travel quite a bit in the house. All...

Thanks for your extended description of our home. Yes, all the smoke detecters are combination carbon dioxide and other gases. We now have muffin tins and a hand mixer available for our guests. Thanks for your input Marv

We really enjoyed this house! Beautiful view, nice outdoor space with basketball hoop, deck and fire pit (which was stocked with wood and kindling!) My kids enjoyed the games, foosball table and basketball, while my hubby and his friends had a really fun game night in den. Awesome, family-friendly place!

This lovely home was perfect for our large gathering of adults and children. Every amenity had been thought of, we just had to bring our clothing and food. There was plenty of space and it was very homey and well-appointed. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, although unfortunately it rained when we were planning to go to the beach. Even with the rain, we had a lovely time

Marv and Kathryn and would love to share this wonderful home on the Oregon Coast overlooking Tillamook Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Marv and his family built this three story cabin to enjoy the beach and all of its wonders. He named it "Shared Sky" out of the belief that no one person owns the sky. Likewise this cabin is also to be shared. We now enjoy traveling, seeing our world and meeting new people. Come and enjoy our beautiful coastline and local attractions. We will be away much of the year but will be available to assist you in having a great coastal experience!
